Re: Ryan's double-speak..
To summarize: here is the article by Richard Baehr from The American Thinker to which Lord Jim has referred, which contains the allegation that Paul Krugman lied:
http://www.americanthinker.com/2010/08/ ... es_th.html
And here is the specific statement by Krugman which that article calls a lie:
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/08/23/opini ... .html?_r=2&
[/b]Now, without taking any position one way or the other on the validity of Baehr's accusation, I would like to humbly suggest that if this question continues to reappear, Lord Jim should simply post the above summary rather than write yet another long screed containing yet another regurgitation of his opinion of rubato's mental defects. I and much of the rest of the membership thank you in advance.

And here is the specific statement by Krugman which that article calls a lie:
And here is the NYT op-ed piece by Krugman which contains that statement:"Take a group of 1,000 randomly selected Americans, and pick the one with the highest income; he's going to get the majority of that group's tax break."

Well, if "Judy" is a an ignorant, misanthropic, asshole, and "Punch" is a defender of truth and reason putting the asshole in her place....
Then you have a valid analogy....
Then you have a valid analogy....

Not gonna happen....Now, without taking any position one way or the other on the validity of Baehr's accusation, I would like to humbly suggest that if this question continues to reappear, Lord Jim should simply post the above summary rather than write yet another long screed containing yet another regurgitation of his opinion of rubato's mental defects.
If this moron insists on continuing to bring this up, (for reasons unknown to me; since it only makes him look bad) I will continue to re-post that post, in it's entirety, whenever he does so....
This is, after all, the asshole who said that no one here reads complete books...
I think it only fair to point out that he can't even fight his way through 13 paragraphs....(so long as he, idiotically, insists on continuing to bring the subject up)
I already cut the meat for him; I'm not going to chew it for him too....

Could be....Lord Jim wrote:Well, if "Judy" is a an ignorant, misanthropic, asshole
Maybe...Lord Jim wrote:and "Punch" is a defender of truth and reason putting the the asshole in her place....
...or perhaps it's not an analogy at all, perhaps it's just a notion that "*THAT'S* the way to do it!!!!"Lord Jim wrote:Then you have a valid analogy....
Heh heh heh heh heh.....

Okay, well, I am concededly an infant. So please chew it for me.Lord Jim wrote:I already cut the meat for him; I'm not going to chew it for him too....
I went back through the postings and the postings that were linked from the postings and the articles that were linked from the postings that were linked from the postings .....
I am a judge. I am an idiot. I am an overgrown child who needs to be put back in his playpen.
So please do me a favor. Present the case in a way that someone as stupid as I am can understand:
--> Here are the exact words of the lie; and
--> Here are the facts which prove that that assertion is a lie.
Or leave me to wallow in my indigestible ignorance.
Reason is valuable only when it performs against the wordless physical background of the universe.

Econoline did just that above, Andrew.
