I wonder if the Trump-thing will be bellowing about how "unfair" "dirty" and "rigged" this result is:
Nearly a month after voters cast their ballots, the primary results in Missouri have finally been made official, and Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton can add the state to their list of wins.

On Tuesday, Missouri Secretary of State Jason Kander tweeted: “This morning I certified the presidential preference primary. @HillaryClinton and @realDonaldTrump have officially won Missouri.”

In the final tally, Trump pipped Texas Sen. Ted Cruz by just 0.2 percentage points — 40.9 percent to Cruz’s 40.7. The billionaire will receive 37 delegates to Cruz’s 15.

So Trump beats Cruz by .2% of the vote, and gets more than twice as many delegates; more than 2/3rds of the total delegates, with less than 41% of the vote...

This is a relatively important announcement, and this jackass announces it on Twitter?  Whatever happened to "legitimate" news sources where "official" anouncements were made and reported?

Elsewhere on the BBS someone posted a revised version of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.  I think the four horsemen are actually Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram.

The D's don't seem too far away from doing the same to themselves. They just don't have such an obvious and obnoxious symbol leading the charge to the cliff.

It's just a question of whether the Republican Party cripples itself for a couple of election cycles, or a couple of generations.
Or...

We could do something completely CRAZY...

And actually nominate the guy who is most qualified, the guy who has a sane and grown-up message, and the guy who leads Hillary Clinton consistently in every head-to-head poll...

and actually win the election...

Nah...

Who'd want to do a nutty thing like that? :loon

We sure wouldn't want to nominate that kind of freak...
John Kasich Channels Ronald Reagan in New York Speech

John Kasich, the Republican primary’s most moderate candidate, worked to expand on promising poll numbers in New York with a speech this morning sharply criticizing Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, without mentioning them by name.

In the speech, the Ohio governor cast himself as a nuts-and-bolts choice who is more tolerant, more compassionate, and, as a successful state governor and a budget hawk while in Congress, more adept at handling the nation’s economy. That’s hardly a leap, given his opponents’ vows to deport millions of immigrants, ban Muslims from entering the United States and patrol neighborhoods where they live.

Polls suggest that Mr. Kasich is the Republican candidate who would give Hillary Clinton the toughest battle in November, should they each become their respective parties’ nominees. But he has struggled to gain traction, so far winning only his home state. He is currently in second place in New York, which votes on April 19, behind Mr. Trump. Mr. Kasich remains in the race in hopes that if neither Mr. Trump nor Mr. Cruz, both deeply unpopular with the party’s leadership, garner enough delegates necessary to win the nomination outright, he could prevail in a contested nominating convention in July.

“When we come together, when we unite as a country, America always wins,” Mr. Kasich said this morning to the Women’s National Republican Club, according to the prepared text.

Mr. Kasich hit Mr. Trump hard on his immigration and foreign policy stances, such as they are, as part of the “path to darkness” Mr. Trump and Mr. Cruz represent.

“We have heard proposals to create a religious test for immigration, to target neighborhoods for surveillance, impose draconian tariffs which would crush trade and destroy American jobs,” he said.

“We have heard proposals to drop out of NATO, abandon Europe to Russia, possibly use nuclear weapons in Europe, end our defense partnerships in Asia, and tell our Middle East allies that they have to go it alone.”

“We have been offered hollow promises to impose a value-added tax, balance budgets through simple and whimsical cuts in ‘fraud, waste and abuse.’”

In an optimistic speech that aimed to be Reaganesque, Mr. Kasich presented plans for a first 100 days in office. They include a balanced-budget plan, a menu of tax cuts and a plan for welfare, education, Medicaid, highway infrastructure and job training back to where we live in the states and strengthening of the nation’s border in combination with a guest worker program.

The full text of his speech is also at that link, or you can also watch it here:

Yeah, we really don't need that, either. Sorry!

I'm gonna keep praying for the couple generations of crippling within the Republican party. :ok

Oh, I don't know....I think having a sane and rational party as "The Loyal Opposition" would be a good thing for Democrats (of whom I count myself one). Tends to keep us in touch with reality. Having a one-party political system for a couple of generations almost always ends very badly.... just sayin'....

You must be talking about the Libertarians, because that sure ain't describing today's Republican party.

Some people get their information from more than one source; you know, hear something and maybe also read something about it elsewhere — unlike those who only quote the Kool-Aid vendor (like some other person I could name).

LMAO!!!

Why would I give a flying fuck if Trump's kids were registered unaffiliated, Democrat or Whig?

The point was they couldn't be bothered to remember when to register GOP so they could vote for dear old dad...

Of course I can't blame you for trying to engage in pointless diversions and deflections given all the real stuff you'd have to explain and defend to justify being a Trumpanzee...

Much better to try to throw others on the defensive over trivia than trying to defend all those 800 gorillas in the room... ;)

How about trying to justify all his whining about how "rigged" the system is when he has so disproportionately benefited from it for a start...

Then you can explain how encouraging Japan and South Korea to develop their own nukes would be a good idea, and how smart it will be to try to destroy the Mexican economy to get them to pay for the wall, and then after you've tackled those, I've got about 100 more for you...

"WOULD BE". Hypothetical. (E.g., "Wouldn't it be nice?")

ETA: FWIW, I don't consider the Libertarian Party "sane and rational" either. In some ways they're even further off the rails than the Rs.

the Townhall that won the election, it was....

while you guys whine about trump whining and say "the rules are the rules" with your noses held high (like ted s bible  )

the people empathize with his frustration over a country and a people who spirits and prospects for success are dying in a tangled morass of rules.

rules designed to screw them, but benefit immigrants.

education prices that screw their kids while the wealthy foreigners flood our schools

importing doctors from places that hate us instead of educating our kids

an elite class that thinks they are superior beings, a different species even.

I ll take riots in the streets and a few years of civil war and a bit of Darwinism in action rather than suffer another 4 yrs of the Parties' rule

fuck em and feed em fish.....

oh jim....

why don t you explain why you care more about mexico s economy than you do about America s children s future....

why you prefer cheap heroin being easily available to hurting mexico s wittle feelings....

why you love cartels and coyotes more than you love America?

you are gonna break your neck twisting yourself into knots

how long have you been a fan of open borders?

since trump started rolling I d guess....

say hi to Hillary at your convention for me, will ya?

unless Bernie wins, then you will not have any party, will you?

Wow wes....

You've been learning your lessons well; that was a load of moronic, intellectually dishonest drivel worthy of your hero :ok

No answers to any of the questions posed so you just spew bullshit...

Just like, well, you-know-who...

But I'm not gonna play your reindeer game, so let's try again. This time, see if you can focus:
How about trying to justify all his whining about how "rigged" the system is when he has so disproportionately benefited from it for a start...

Then you can explain how encouraging Japan and South Korea to develop their own nukes would be a good idea, and how smart it will be to try to destroy the Mexican economy to get them to pay for the wall
(He asked again, expecting more diversions and bullshit...)

And then, like I said:
after you've tackled those, I've got about 100 more for you...

oh jim,

if trump responded to every distortion and lie that cruz and the party put out there, he would be doing nothing else.

so ask your 100 questions and they will get the attention that they deserve.

lose with cruz

or jump in the swill with hill..., you and your parties have lost credibility
