Candidates I am supporting this cycle:

Jacky Rosen Senate

Amy McGrath

Andrew Janz

Conor Lamb

Beto O'Rourke Senate

Susie Lee

Steven Horsford

Andrew Learned

Randy Bryce

Dan Feehan

Feehan, Horsford, Lee, and Lamb have comfortable leads. Lamb won an upset special election and currently has a comfortable lead. I only supported Bryce because he was running against Ryan. Now that Ryan is out I'm not sending any more love. Janz and Beto O'Rourke have turned what should have been republican runaways into close races and the loathsomeness of Nunez and Cruz are very motivating.

With the latest poll showing Tail Gunner Ted holding on to a bare 1 point lead, Real Clear Politics moves his seat from "Leans GOP" to "Toss Up"...

The RCP House map also continues to shift to the blue...

The Dems are now up by 10 seats, 201-191 in the "safe" "likely" and "leans" categories, with 43 seats, (41 of them held by Republicans) rated as toss ups...

Send some love (and money) to Andy Kim in NJ-3, who is now in a dead heat with healthcare monster Tom MacArthur (R-Trumpistan). Andy is exactly the kind of policy wonky guy you'd want in Congress.

By-the-by, how is Bob Hugin (R-Trumpistan) doing against Dem Bob Menendez in the NJ Senate race? Early on I felt Menendez -- even with all his past legal problems -- was polling strong against Hugin. Now I'm not so sure.

What's the local buzz?

PS. I'm trying to keep my daughter jazzed about the NJ Democratic candidates in November but with all the "railroading" by the courts she is currently experiencing I fear she is becoming embittered with the system. Sigh!

Well, you'll have to wait on Sue for the "local buzz" but the most recent polling would seem to indicate that after some significant tightening in the race, Menendez is beginning to build a larger lead:

New polling has moved five more seats from "toss up " to "leans Democratic" giving the Dems a 206-191 advantage with 38 seats still rated toss ups:

Talk about hoisted on your own petard:
America First Action, a political committee aligned with Mr. Trump, conducted a series of focus groups over the summer and concluded the party had a severe voter-turnout problem, brought on in part by contentment about the economy and a refusal by Republicans to believe that Democrats could actually win the midterm elections.

Conservative-leaning voters in the study routinely dismissed the possibility of a Democratic wave election, with some describing the prospect as “fake news,” said an official familiar with the research, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the data was not intended to be disclosed. Breaking that attitude of complacency is now the Republicans’ top priority, far more than wooing moderates with gentler messaging about economic growth.

By the numbers: 57% of strong Trump supporters believe it's unlikely Democrats win the House, according to the source. (The survey of 800 registered voters — 480 via landline calls and 320 via cellphone calls — was conducted from Aug. 29 to Sept. 2 and has a margin of error of 3.5%.)

(By contrast, election forecaster Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight website gives Democrats an 83.1% chance of winning control over the House.)

One of those strategists told me he’s detecting something interesting — and concerning — from focus groups of Trump voters. “You have Trump-MAGA loyalists, and their friends on Fox, who have reached a point of not believing polls and media people telling them things are going wrong, that I believe is actually causing the Republicans problems,” the strategist told me, granted anonymity in order to be candid.

“We’ve seen it in focus groups, with Republican base voters, where you’ll come up with a hypothetical that the Democrats win, and people are like, ‘That’s not going to happen, that’s stupid.’ … They’re like, ‘Oh, to hell with this crap, we were told Trump wasn’t going to win. It’s bullshit.’”

… “They watch Hannity… and hear that a red wave is coming to save the House. They really believe it’s going to be 2016 all over again.”
You're right Trumpanzees, it's all fake...

There's a big red wave coming election day, so no need for you to trouble yourself to get to the polls....

Just put up your feet, crack open some brews and watch a Killing Bigfoot marathon...

The Dems have no chance, the polls and media reports are all lies...

Your Leader has told you so...

By all means, everyone vote. I still believe in democracy, and am happy to let every citizen have hos or her say. Sadly, there are some who don't and would seek to block voters from participating.

The GOP has made a systematic effort to bar people from voting across the country. They would prefer to bar mostly Democratic and minority voters but they are happy to bar poor Republican whites as well. They are trying to turn back to the Jim Crow era when poll taxes and grandfather clauses barred many poor whites and plutocracy reigned.

I would think poor and working class whites are among their biggest supporters.
