trump is serious!!!!!
Re: trump is serious!!!!!
I'm reluctant to mention this...
But it looks like after Wes engaged in a posting carpet bombing on Wednesday, I haven't seen his name listed once for new posts...
I guess he decided to gloat and run....
Or maybe he just ran out of dumb and/or crazy things to say about his hero and went to re-stock on a fresh supply of Stupid Bullets...

Re: trump is serious!!!!!
What you expect him to defend the shit he spews? It takes an honest debater to do that and he follows the school of trump.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

Please don't tempt the troll, Jim! If he keeps it up for the next 7 months like he did on his recent visit . . .

Dude...Charlie Baker is as much a Republican as Michael Bloomberg. In about 48 states, he'd be a Democrat...and in about 35, he'd be a LIBERAL Democrat!Lord Jim wrote:Nice to see you stop by Guin
I sincerely hope that more GOP leaders will display the courage and integrity shown by Gov. Baker.
We'll see...

Well if you'd prefer a president trump, by all means vote for him.

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

Re: trump is serious!!!!!
There's a lot of inaccurate history in that map. Mexico did not become an independent country until 1821; what this is showing are the holdings of SPAIN in North America as of 1794. And by 1800 Spain had lost much of the eastern and northern portion of those holdings to France through the Treaty of San Ildefonso, holdings which Bonaparte of France sold to the US in 1803 (the Louisiana Purchase) — which is what actually gave the United States most of what is now the western half of the country.Scooter wrote:
As noted, Mexico became independent of Spain itself in 1821; this map shows the boundaries of Mexico at that time:

As history progresses, we have the Republic of Texas eventually kicking Santa Anna's ass, becoming independent of Mexico themselves and carving away at the map even further following the Treaties of Velasco. Then came the Mexican-American war (1846-48), which resulted in Mexico ceding almost all of their holdings west from Texas to the Pacific Ocean to the United States under the terms of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. Then came the Gadsden Purchase of 1853, resulting in the US-Mexican border as it exists today.

So the first point is that all the land shown in Scooter's map was never actually "Mexico" to begin with.
Secondly, that part of what is now the US which was "Mexico" after 1821 was either lost in battle/ceded by treaty (Treaties of Velasco and Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo) or by outright sale (Gadsden Purchase of 1853). So the young nation that was the United State won it or bought it fair and square.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Now it is channeling the ghost of Rob Ford:
Trump vows to 'stop the gravy train'
Republican rolls out Rob Ford slogan during speech
Donald Trump has ripped a phrase right out of ex-mayor Rob Ford’s playbook and the Ford family is cheering him on.
The presumptive Republican presidential nominee dropped one of Ford’s signature lines during a rally in West Virginia on Thursday.
Trump – who knocked out the last two remaining contenders for the nomination this week – came out swinging in his speech at the ‘Never Trump’ movement that had tried to slam the brakes on his campaign.
“You know why it’s Never Trump?” he said. “Because I’m going to stop the gravy train for all of these consultants.”
Ford – who died in March – swept into the mayor’s chair in 2010 with the slogan that he was going to “stop the gravy train” at Toronto City Hall.
He kept using the phrase throughout his tumultuous time in office and rolled it out again during his re-election run.

Re: trump is serious!!!!!
Now that this asshole is apparently the Republican nominee-presumptive, when is he going to start outlining just HOW he intends to do all these fabulous things? So far, all he has been doing is running around like a little kid on the playground, telling the other kids that "you'd better quit picking on me or I'm warning you, you'll really be sorry." So what else has he got?Scooter wrote:Now it is channeling the ghost of Rob Ford:

Oh my FSM:
And the world economy reverts to the barter system.
So the United States of America is going to go to lenders and tell them, "we want to borrow from you, and maybe you'll get everything paid back, and maybe you won't."Revealing his utter ignorance, Trump threatens to default on U.S. debt and crash the global economy.
Yesterday, Donald Trump gave an interview to CSNBC in which, among other things, he described his approach to the national debt. And it’s awful. Just awful.Trump said in a television interview Thursday that he might seek to reduce the national debt by persuading creditors to accept something less than full payment.
Asked whether the United States needed to pay its debts in full, or whether he could negotiate a partial repayment, Mr. Trump told the cable network CNBC, "I would borrow, knowing that if the economy crashed, you could make a deal.”
He added, "And if the economy was good, it was good. So, therefore, you can't lose.”

That "gravy train" line will have a short life if someone comes out with an ad saying that it originated with Rob Ford, and juxtaposing a picture of Trump with one of Ford smoking crack.
