throw off your shackles, and the scales will fall from your eyes
The scales fell from my eyes back in 2011, when I saw first-hand what the Republicans, in the persona of Wisconsin governor Snotty Wanker, had as their agenda.  And what has happened since then only confirms my original observations and subsequent conclusions to such a degree that I am now at a point where I wouldn't vote for anyone, for any office — not even Jesus Christ Himself — if he or she were running for said office as a Republican.

For all your many faults, BB, at least you ain’t got no scales on your eyes!

This was the first election I voted for exactly ZERO Republicans. I've always had at least one or two, mainly because since I moved to a rural area there tends to be unopposed offices dominated by Republicans. This is the opposite or my prior district that tended to run unopposed Democrats.

I didn't even vote for the unopposed Republican in my State legislative district, and the one that was opposed was opposed by someone claiming to be a member of the "Liberal Party". That one did give me pause as I had to at least make sure she wasn't a complete nutjob, but she appeared competent. She somehow beat out the registered Democrat in that race (due to my State's Top 2 primary, it's the top 2 vote getters each race, regardless of party, that proceed to the general election in State offices. Which is why we have 2 Democrats running for Lt Governor)

This was following through with a promise I made to myself 6 months ago- the ONLY way I would even consider voting for a Republican is if they PUBLICLY, and vocally, denounced Trump. None did. So none got my vote.

On the flip side, I've had to deal with 2 "Y'All Qaeda" caravans this weekend making a mess of the freeways.

What stands out is how, compared to several previous elections, how stable this map has been where it counts.

Biden 368
Trump 170

Although outlined in pink, I think it's likely Texas will go blue. The state has just under 17 million registered voters -- 1.8 million of them registered since the last presidential election, so a high percentage of youngs in that bloc. Turnout is already over 9.7 million, nearly a million more voters than the total of all who voted in 2016. Just over 59% of TX voters actually voted in 2016; more than 57% of registered Texans have voted already, and it is possible that final turnout could be between 65% and 70% -- with the largest turnouts (and margins) in the four biggest urban centers that traditionally vote Democratic. I'm obviously not a professional pollster, but it looks to me that the numbers are trending more toward a Biden victory in Texas.

I saw a newscast yesterday with love coverage of POTUS infant of a grandstand somewhere and he was clapping for himself and telling everyone how we need to have the final results known by midnite Tuesday (did not note what time zone he was speaking from) I do know that the urgency of reporting the results has been created by the news media itself. I heard on the radio this morning the Pennsylvania official with legal responsibility for counting the votes say the state has been flooding with paper ballots which cannot be counted until beginning with the opening of polls tomorrow at 7am. He said the actual result for the state of Pennsylvania will probably (and with good reason) not be known until Friday.

What is the rush? I remember the wonderful grinning picture of Harry Truman holding up the front-page of the Chicago Tribune with the big headline "Dewey Defeats Truman". The world will not come to a screeching halt is the accurate tally takes a week or so.

He's going to be eating those words if Florida and North Carolina, both of which count their mail-in ballots ahead of time and begin reporting them when polls close, are called for Biden on election night, because no one is going to be waiting for late results from Pennsylvania to project that Biden wins the whole shooting match.

Your guide to the election outcome. Even with the results for Pennsylvania being delayed it won't matter.

Putin's oligarch buddies that support him have taken a beating from Trump. Trump and Putin had an agreement on Syria. Something of that sort may happen with Turkey too.

Putin still knows Trump isn't his pal after the Nordstrom 2 sanctions and the Crimea legitimization failure.

I’m predicting a very decisive victory for American character by a transformed electorate. Maybe even a landslide.

BOTH sides may hope for victory, then?

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.
