Good things about the Tea Party.
Re: Good things about the Tea Party.
Of course, it is not atypical for the media to present a less than objective view point. While this can sway people this is mostly temporary. As long as there is some reasonable amount of presenting of both sides of the story, people truly do decide for themselves. How else do you explain any conservative winning a national election? And, on the SSM topic, I think enough people after years of looking at the issue finally said equality makes sense, combined with the overwhelming majority of new voters each year either favoring SSM or having no problem with it (and the dying of older voters who saw no reason to change the status quo). But, like you, I don't see how the Tea Party impacted this either by design or as a consequence of its actions.

Apparently the "Tea Party" are overwhelmingly ANTI-homosexual rights.

Given that the Tea Party candidates are all of the most hard-shell retrograde Republicans this is not even slightly surprising. I am not commenting on their racism but it is illustrated vividly here as well.

Well, here's one good thing: Ted Cruz has finally put a stake through the heart of the "birther" movement.
People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right. The only difference is, they're wrong.
