Better to go to this guys shop, buy the T-Shirt and wear it around the mall.dales wrote:I'm NOT a legal eagle but my gut feeling tells me this is wrong.
If I lived anywhere near this mall, I'd boycott and tell my friends to do the same.
The tenant has a rather different spin on that provision:The letter from the management states that the tenant's actions violate specific terms of the lease, including sections limited his store to the retail sale of prints, framing and directly related items ....
"[T]he retail sale of prints, framing and directly related items" strikes me as quite different from "sell[ing] art and art-related products". And if the management is correct about the contractual language, it seems to me, off the cuff, that T-shirts are hardly "directly related" to "prints [and] framing". But without seeing the entire contract, none of us can say for sure.He is allowed to sell art and art-related products, and he designed the T-shirt himself, he said.
Yes, very traditional Catholicism, although Latino Catholics are frowned on for naming their kids 'Jesus'.Big RR wrote:Of course, Sue, she was probably named Mary after the mother of Jesus Mary--most catholics (and being French she was most likely catholic) named Mary were. I think it has something to do with having one's first name be a bibilical or saint's name.
You do seem to take a lot of time off; but if you're being reasonably productive we'll let it slide. I'll bring it up at the next partners meeting.Guinevere wrote:Sue, you vacation? I thought you were the partner that worked, and I was the partner always on vacay.

Queen Henrietta Maria (Queen Mary).
The charter that Lord Baltimore received in 1632 from King Charles I of England specified a name for the new colony. It was to be called Maryland to honor King Charles' wife Queen Henrietta Maria (Queen Mary).

I'll be in Maryland this weekend visiting the daughter and taking in a Terps football game.
Don't know where this mall is in relation to the Univ of Maryland.
Does he print the T-shirt himself?Andrew D wrote:
