Well his position has backing but his facts are wrong. No Russian troops in Ukraine? That's just a special kind of stupid.

Things were going well and then there was Bill Clinton and N.A.F.T.A
This of course is a Trumpism. NAFTA was the creation of Bush 41 with Mulroney and Salinas, signed in December 1992 when 41 was already the lamest of ducks. (I.e., he had already been defeated by Clinton.) It had to be ratified by Congress of course, and it was steered through by WJC. It had bilateral support in both the House and the Senate, but more so from the Republicans than the Democratic Party. So for Trump to claim that NAFTA was Clinton's, just because his was the final signature shows, once again, Trump's basic misunderstanding of the civics courses you and he probably did in fifth grade.

“Honestly, the main take-away from these two weeks is that, incredibly, we may be on the brink of electing such a damaged, sociopathic narcissist, that the simple presidential duty of comforting the families of fallen soldiers might actually be beyond his capabilities,” Oliver stated. “And I genuinely did not think that was the part of the job that someone could be bad at.”
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

Gerald Ford said "There is no Soviet domination of Eastern Europe." in the 76 election. Reagan feted Jonas Savimbi and said he hoped for UNITA winning "a victory that electrifies the world."[13] (Savinbi was a mass murderer and rapist who cooler heads called a psychotic killer) so Trump not a total outlier, there is a tradition there.

Every president in decades has been for free trade and nearly all economists agree on that. Ever since David Ricardo 200 years ago articulated the law of comparative advantage it has been clear that trade makes both parties better off EVEN when one of the parties makes ALL goods cheaper than the other.

India crippled its own development for generations by attempting to use restrictive protectionism. The temporary disruptions caused when an industry shrinks under trade pressures are better solved by means which don't cripple us in the long run.

A little while ago I saw a guy being interviewed at a Trump rally in Arizona who was absolutely certain that Khizr Khan is a member of The Muslim Brotherhood.... :loon

I wonder how long it will be before Trump himself repeats it, with his usual, "I don't know if it's true but a lot of people are saying it" smear intro....

I saw a clip a little while ago of GWB responding to a question about the criticism he was getting from Cindy Sheehan...

What a complete difference from the way Drumpf handled the Khan criticism...

In her interview with Chris Wallace, Hillary Clinton also showed the proper way for a politician to respond when confronted with scathing criticism from someone who has suffered the grievous loss of a family member who died in the service of the country...

At the Republican convention, the mother of one of the victims of the Benghazi attack accused Clinton of lying to her and blamed her personally for her son's death...

When asked about this by Wallace, Clinton expressed empathy for the woman, and refused to criticize or attack her...(just as Bush had done with Sheehan)

As a result, the press is not still talking about it four days later...

But unlike Bush and Clinton, that just ain't the way the Trumpster rolls...

Now Trump's bimbo Katrina Pierson has jumped in - Humayun Khan's death was Obama's fault.

As you can see, the Twitterverse is not being kind to her.

Bill O'Reilly followed up his disgraceful attempt to minimize the evils of slavery by suggesting that the Khans were only there because they were paid.

Were you watching Morning Joe? I just saw that too and couldn't recall which program . . . but anyway, I was very impressed, I don't think I'd ever seen that clip before but glad to know that W had some class. :ok

Right.  And I'm sure that Scott Baio, the Duck Dynasty dude, and the rest of his D-list celebs and political shills all dug into their own pockets for their plane tickets, hotel accommodations, food, and other expenses when they went to Cleveland to speak up for Trump.

the "Duck Dynasty" crew came to the Republican convention? No shit. I guess if you have a zero on substance you better swing for the fences on 'colorful'.

Mind you, I have a lot of respect for the DD crew. They have made more out of less than almost anyone in TV history.
