Sure, when there's no refuting the facts, call it "hate" to point them out.

You could have started with your vote. Didn't you know that Pence was a homophobe who has a history of infringing on LGBTQ rights whenever possible?
My vote meant nothing.
I did not vote for trump, I voted against hillary.
Had I voted for any of the other lower candidates, the result would have been the same.
I live in NY which has gone repub once in my lifetime (reagan).

As far as me sticking up for others rights, i stand by my every day actions.

And bullfuckingshit wes and oldr, you've already proved that you don't give a crap with your votes.
Such hatred toward me.
I wonder why?
because of my throw away vote?
Because I don't align to your beliefs?
Because I made a joke that you took the worng way?
I have no animosity toward you.
May you have peace of heart and mind regardless of what you think of me.

Wes show one spot where Scooter lied. Just because you make it up doesn't mean it's true.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

No, a vote for Trump is a vote for Trump, regardless of what inspired it. I voted more against Trump than for Hillary, but my vote was still cast for her; if you just wanted to vote against Hillary, you could have voted for any of the third party candidates, but you chose not to do that.

As for it not making a difference, it does give his campaign one more vote to crow about and claim a mandate or whatever. IMHO, one can vote for the lesser of two evils (I have in most elections), but you still have to own your vote and its consequences. I had a friend in college who voted for Nixon because he thought McGovern was crazy--eventually he became one of the biggest campaigners for his impeachment. when I asked why, he said because he was partially responsible for him winning and it was his responsibility to help clean up the mess he helped make. That's owning your vote IMHO.

And Scooter, don't blithely dismiss help offered, even if you distrust the people or their motives--some may be like my Nixon-voting friend. In standing up to what happens, we're going to need all the help we can get.

I see your point Big RR.
Trump lost the popular vote too, so I still believe as I believe that it was a throw away vote.
To me, HRC was part of the establishment, the same establishment that have made the mess (IMO) we are in.

So I will own that I voted for Trump.
If that makes me bigotted, homophobic, racist and mysoginist in someone elses eyes, that is thier view and they are entitled to it. Those who know me know otherwise.

oldr--I don't think you are any of those things; but I do think you have to be aware of those elements in the Trump camp and stand against them. that is parting of owning your vote IMHO.

Wesw couldn't see a fact if it slapped him straight in the face. And scooter, I will stand with you, and speak out against this evil. Evil must be opposed.
Personally, I don’t believe in bros before hoes, or hoes before bros. There needs to be a balance. A homie-hoe-stasis, if you will.

Utterly incorrect. It's gone from 200K to 600K, for HRC, with foreign and absentee ballots still being counted.

He's using Republican math. 90% of Republican voters voted for Trump.

LMAO !!!

How is it that somebody who didn't vote for Trump, (in fact voted for his opponent) contributed to efforts to deny him the nomination, (and later to remove him from the ticket) actively worked (in some cases successfully) to talk others out of voting for Trump, and has written vociferously and voluminously condemning and criticizing Trump, "owns" his election victory? :loon :shrug

Rube, I understand that you're upset about the election results, but drinking isn't the answer...

Because it's like watching an airplane crash in slow-motion.  You know what the end result is going to be, but there's a morbid curiosity that compels you to watch to see exactly how, step by step, it gets to that point.

Same with wes.  You know that he's using his postings here the same way a farmer uses a manure spreader, but there's still that curiosity as to just what kind of shit he's going to try to shovel out here next.

Today I was chastised by a cousin for daring to point out to her FB friend, who declared his intention to bash the head in with an industrial duty fire extinguisher of any citizen protester who burns the flag in protest, that such speech was ugly and incites violence, etc. He deleted the comment (shame?) then his wife denied he'd even made it, then my cousin chastised me for suggesting if he's going to post hate speech and declarations of intent to murder, he might want to change his privacy settings so as not to suffer facts about what the Constitution protects and what it doesn't.

Apparently people of good will are expected to sit quiet while the uglies say whatever they like. Heaven forfend their feelings get hurt by anyone calling them on the hate they express.

Cue Twilight Zone music; thank you Trump, for this sick new world!
