Vice President Pence, as Governor, supported a law and policy that declared my daughter had no legal right to life when, about 8 weeks after conception she was medically declared to be pregnant, with the embryo firmly implanted outside her uterus with no reasonable chance to develop to complete first trimester without killing both my daughter and the embryo. If you wish to know more about this not uncommon situation, look up 'ectopic pregnancy'.
As governor, Pence supported a law making the removal of the embryo by any human intervention completely criminal in any circumstance.
The politicians call this an expression of "Right To Life."

Texas is currently considering legislation that would allow doctors to LIE to pregnant women & their partners about the viability and/or health of their developing fetus.
Texas is a sick place and I feel much sympathy for the progressive people who happened to be born there and/or are stuck there due to employment or family ties.

Actually there have been a relatively large number of Canadians in high profile U.S. newscasting jobs precisely because their accent is bland enough to sound generically American without being identifiable with any particular region of the U.S.
