Bitcoin as long as it is the only cryptocurrency is one thing, as one of many it is something else. Several have been announced in recent months including one which just took the bitcoin software and switched it from lower case to upper case. Tra-La! New money. The problem is that the more cryptocurrencies there are the less each is worth as price stability reduces and faith in the new medium is diluted.
