Looks like the restart is picking up steam with UPMC telling the governor of Pennsylvania, Tommy the commie, to shove it.
You have to love a university hospital telling the governor, "We're not seeing a surge. The cases aren't escalating. They're decreasing. Eff you. We're going back to work.

Get a Brain! Morans is an exploitable photograph of a man seen at a protest outside a Boeing plant in St Charles, Missouri in 2003. The infamously misspelled sign came to embody the "proud to be ignorant" stereotype sometimes placed on midwestern or southern Americans.

Well, I suppose you would "love" it if celebrating ignorance is your thing:You have to love a university hospital telling the governor, "We're not seeing a surge. The cases aren't escalating. They're decreasing. Eff you. We're going back to work.
https://www.wfmz.com/health/coronavirus ... 7ad12.html1,296 new virus cases, 360 more deaths in Pennsylvania as state uses new reporting method for deaths
69 News, Will Lewis Apr 21, 2020 Updated 6 hrs ago
HARRISBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania health officials said the number of virus-related deaths jumped by more than 300 on Tuesday, in part due to a new method of reporting the deaths.
There were 1,296 more cases in the state, pushing the total to 34,528, the state health department said Tuesday.
There were also 360 more deaths. That brings the state death toll to 1,564.
“As we see the number of new COVID-19 cases continuously change across the state that does not mean we can stop practicing social distancing,” said Dr. Rachel Levine, state health secretary, in a news release.
Tuesday's update saw an increase of 125 cases in the Lehigh Valley (Lehigh and Northampton counties combined), and 23 more deaths.
There were 43 more cases and 8 more deaths in Berks County, according to the state health department data.
The number of deaths from COVID - 19 are continuing to rise in the Commonwealth. Dr. Rachel Levine says it's because confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases are now being included.
"Confirmed deaths are those Pennsylvanians who have died and we have a positive test result for COVID-19," Dr. Levine said.
"Probable deaths are those who have died and their death certificate lists COVID-19 as a cause or contributing cause of death."
Probable cases did not have a positive test result for COVID-19. Levine says of the 1,564 deaths in the state, 300 deaths are listed as probable.
She also says that number was not from an overnight, but a culmination of reconciling records and a way to give the the public the most accurate data possible.
The state health department has an interactive map with cases per zip code.
Nursing and personal care homes continue to be hit hard, with 5,026 resident cases and 572 employee cases across the state.
Out of the total state deaths, 796 have been nursing home residents, officials said.
The entire state is under a stay-at-home order until May 8, when Gov. Tom Wolf plans to begin gradually reopening some businesses.

Photos from the Massachusetts protest and counter demonstrators in front of Governor Baker’s house yesterday - notice the political affiliation of those not wearing masks.

And BTW - Massachusetts is still in the surge (we are about two weeks behind NY). Yesterday we had the highest single day total of reported positive cases - almost 4000. Anyone out there who doesn’t wear a mask and gloves, is stupid and selfish.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

"The depth of misplaced fear about vaccination – which remains one of the unambiguous triumphs of global public health – has been further illustrated in widely shared remarks from lockdown. Novak Djokovic last week volunteered that he would have to think seriously about whether he could even carry on playing tennis if a vaccine were to become mandatory to travel. The rapper MIA went further in informing her 650,000 Twitter followers melodramatically, that “if I have to choose the vaccine or a [location-tracking] chip, I’m gonna choose death”.
The most prominent American anti-vaxxer, Robert Kennedy Jr, meanwhile, amplified an unhinged conspiracy that believes Bill Gates is using the virus as part of a supposed plot to control the world’s population through immunisation."
