Sorry, Andrew. The suit certainly does have merit, and the banks will end up paying a ton in fines, as well as fixing up these problems. Further, the status of the mortgages, the loans, and title to the real estate will take years to sort out.
But none of the original homeowners have been defrauded or had their legitimate interests harmed by the illegal conduct of the banks. It is largely grandstanding on the part of the AG.
