Some like to keep their online and real lives separate...

17 years ago, I didn't feel the need to do that...once I posted my phone number openly on the Cafe Darte, and dared and taunted any troll to call me...(I was having a particular problem with trolls at the time...editec, to his credit, did the same after I did..)

I got a couple of "heaving breathing" messages, but not one person who had the guts to actually face me, even on the phone....(pussies the lot...I suspected as much...)

But even so, when you're thinking about your family you make a different calculation...

If you come to the USA Gob you HAVE to stop in the capital of the world, New York City. While I am not big on the goings on in Manhattan, I'll be happy to host you out here on Long Island, just a train ride away from the Big Apple. I'll even grab the sons motorcycle and we can tour the east end of LI on the bikes.
And we could take a ride up to the lake house if time permits.

Not being a city person I can't disagree with that statement.
But Long Island is nice as are many areas around NY City. But the City is the City. You want opera and plays and sights and one has to go to the top of the Empire State building while they are here. Don't know if the Statue of liberty is open but if she is one has to do that too.

Afer that, come to my house, we'll have a bar-b-que and take the motorcycles out to the east end (north fork prefferably, south fork is nothing but congestion and movie star convoys).
