Does This Make our Military Better?

Scooter that's high praise coming from King Fucktard
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

You should read the proposal again.dgs49 wrote:the proposal was to post a UNIT OF WOMEN, not a few women scattered amongst the troops.
But then you'd have to try and understand the proposal instead of knee-jerking about how you think it's a bad idea.
Re: Does This Make our Military Better?
I was not trying to prove or disprove anything. As long as the women are volunteers I have no objections provided the idea well tested in advance. The military has a history of bad decisions and in combat troops die because of them. I think Grim will back me up this statement: The general make the bad decisions and the troops do the dying. See Operation Anaconda in Afghanistan.
The way to stringently test the idea is to take a unit of only women (no men) place them in long tern combat situation in a remote location. Repeat the experiment several time using different women and then evaluated the results, they will either succeed or not. I suspect they would do as well as men, but I do not know that until it is tested.
Note: I am aware that there are women that experience ground combat. The Army has a unit composed of only women whose mission is to go out into the afghan villages, without support of men, and interact with the Afghan women. It can be dangerous but it is a support role, not combat. Support can be as dangerous as combat but there is a difference.

Soon, I’ll post my farewell message. The end is starting to get close. There are many misconceptions about me, and before I go, to live with my ancestors on the steppes, I want to set the record straight.

Yes lib, and because rubber is good for making tyres they should make whole cars from it and see what happens. That's the only way to be sure that rubber has any place on a car...
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?
Re: Does This Make our Military Better?
Men are better at violence than women. Check the prison populations for their gender makeup.
War is, at best, controlled violence.
Adding women to elite fighting forces is stupid. It might make some people feel good, but it erodes the quality of the fighting units.
So why do it?

Re: Does This Make our Military Better?
Well, using the prisons as the deciding factor, I guess we also shouldn't have many white people, male or female, in the armed forces, since minorities are presumptively better at the controlled violence of war, right?Men are better at violence than women. Check the prison populations for their gender makeup.
By this reasoning, adding whites to elite fighting forces is stupid. It might make some people feel good, but it erodes the quality of the fighting units.
Re: Does This Make our Military Better?
No white people in jail for violent crimes?
What state do you live in?

Re: Does This Make our Military Better?
No, but far more minorities than whites, just as more men than women.
