Wasn't it "tax reform" that dominated the news last weekend? Who cares about collusion and impeachment when tax cuts are happening?

I’m frankly disgusted by women who would be with such a shitstain just for his money. I’d rather end up in the gutter than ever stoop so low. Women like that have less dignity than actual prostitutes.

Here's what's really depressing to me about this bit of news...

With any other recent President (except maybe Bill Clinton) the news that they had paid hush money right before an election to a porno actress to cover-up a sexual relationship that they were having while married to their wife would have been far and away the most scandalous and shocking revelation about their personal behavior for their entire Presidency...

But for our current Piece-of-Shit-In-Chief, it only ranks as the 5th or 6th most vile and degrading revelation about his behavior for just the past week...

On the overall list, it probably doesn't make the top 50...

Attorney General Jeff Sessions interviewed by Mueller's team as part of Russia investigation

WASHINGTON – Special counsel Robert Mueller has interviewed Attorney General Jeff Sessions in connection with an investigation into Russian activity during the 2016 election and whether President Trump sought to obstruct justice during the probe, a Justice Department spokesman said Tuesday.

Sessions, who was accompanied by his private attorney Charles Cooper, was questioned for several hours, said Justice spokesman Ian Prior, who declined to elaborate on the nature of the questioning.

The attorney general is the first Trump cabinet official known to be interviewed by Mueller's team.

It was long expected that Sessions would be interviewed, given his role in the abrupt firing of FBI Director James Comey last May and his election-year meetings with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

So let me know if I am reading this wrong, but the fact that the independent counsel felt the need to interview the attorney general tells me that the AG made absolutely the right call to recuse himself in this matter, and that the jackals yelping at him for doing so need to eat a big helping of STFU.

Apparently Trump did more than just consider firing Mueller; he actually tried to put the mechanism for doing it in place, by ordering him fired:
Trump Ordered Mueller Fired, but Backed Off When White House Counsel Threatened to Quit

WASHINGTON — President Trump ordered the firing last June of Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel overseeing the Russia investigation, according to four people told of the matter, but ultimately backed down after the White House counsel threatened to resign rather than carry out the directive.

The West Wing confrontation marks the first time Mr. Trump is known to have tried to fire the special counsel. Mr. Mueller learned about the episode in recent months as his investigators interviewed current and former senior White House officials in his inquiry into whether the president obstructed justice.

Amid the first wave of news media reports that Mr. Mueller was examining a possible obstruction case, the president began to argue that Mr. Mueller had three conflicts of interest that disqualified him from overseeing the investigation, two of the people said.

First, he claimed that a dispute years ago over fees at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Va., had prompted Mr. Mueller, the F.B.I. director at the time, to resign his membership. The president also said Mr. Mueller could not be impartial because he had most recently worked for the law firm that previously represented the president’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner. Finally, the president said, Mr. Mueller had been interviewed to return as the F.B.I. director the day before he was appointed special counsel in May.

After receiving the president’s order to fire Mr. Mueller, the White House counsel, Donald F. McGahn II, refused to ask the Justice Department to dismiss the special counsel, saying he would quit instead, the people said. They spoke on the condition of anonymity because they did not want to be identified discussing a continuing investigation.

Mr. McGahn disagreed with the president’s case and told senior White House officials that firing Mr. Mueller would have a catastrophic effect on Mr. Trump’s presidency. Mr. McGahn also told White House officials that Mr. Trump would not follow through on the dismissal on his own. The president then backed off.

The president dismissed the revelations on Friday, when asked about them by reporters as he arrived at the Congress Center in Davos, Switzerland, for meetings with world political and business leaders.

“Fake news, folks,” Mr. Trump said. “Fake news. A typical New York Times fake story.”

Ty Cobb, who manages the White House’s relationship with Mr. Mueller’s office, said in a statement, “We decline to comment out of respect for the Office of the Special Counsel and its process.”

Mr. McGahn, a longtime Republican campaign finance lawyer in Washington who served on the Federal Election Commission, was the top lawyer on Mr. Trump’s campaign. He has been involved in nearly every key decision Mr. Trump has made — like the firing of the former F.B.I. director — that is being scrutinized by Mr. Mueller.

If this report is true, then Trump's public denial of this is more problematic then most of his lying public denials...

I don't see how McGahn, (who has spent a couple of days being interviewed by Team Mueller...to whom he would have undoubtedly revealed this information...) can continue to serve as White House counsel...

POTUS announces over and over and over and over and over "there was no collusion"

SO ? Collusion is not a crime. Collusion is some kind of buzz word from spin doctors.

Foreign interference in a US national election is the question--a security question of significance.

The crime, as in the head of this thread, is Obstruction of Justice. Does anyone remember the beginning of the End for tricky Dick was the Saturday Night Massacre? Trump, like Nixon, will commit political suicide via shooting himself in the foot.
