I had a friend, from 4th to 12th grade, who ended up being a major player at a local hospital, I won t say his role in detail, because he is an honorable guy, as far as I know.

this fellow grabbed a agirl as she ascended the sliding board , at recess, in sixth grade.

he grabbed her crotch.

she was embarrassed and offended and told the teachers.

this incident was addressed in front of all of us and the boy apologized in front of all of us, and, as far as I know, he never did such a thing again.

we were kids, just starting to like each other, boys and girls. we did not know what was what yet.

we were friends after, and before. it was addressed.

I would not even consider that a factor in his work. he has helped many, and a youthful spurt of desire should not condemn him.

Everything I ever learned in trainings on sexual offender dynamics, both as a prosecutor and as a defense attorney, was built around the established science regarding the often deep seated denial most sex offenders engage in - they very often don’t believe they’ve committed any offense, which is why the great majority are not well suited for rehabilitation efforts. That’s why we have registries.

I’m sure he sincerely believes in his innocence. I think he’s guilty as hell.

A longtime friend of Christine Blasey Ford named Leland Ingham Keyser says she doesn’t know Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and doesn’t recall attending a party with him. Ford said Keyser was at the party where Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when they were both in high school, but she says she has no memory of it. “Simply put, Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with, or without, Dr. Ford,” Keyser’s lawyer, Howard Walsh, said in a statement.

Keyser’s lawyer wrote the statement after she was contacted by the Senate Judiciary Committee for information about the alleged incident. “I understand that you have been identified as an individual who was in attendance at a party that occurred circa 1982 described in a recent Washington Post article,” a committee staffer wrote Keyser earlier this week. Keyser told the Washington Post in a “brief interview” that she was close friends with Ford and believes her allegations about Kavanaugh.

That is puzzling...

At first I was thinking maybe it was because it was a practice he had picked up from his father and his father had passed away, but then I remembered he began his statement by saying that his mother and father were in the room...

He's been sniffling and behaving tormented no matter what he was talking about ever since...

Unlike some folks here, I thought the outrage and anger he showed at the outset was coming across as sincere and effective; but this maudlin bit is really starting to seem like chewing the scenery...

Why was he on the verge of tears over the memory of working out at friends house?

It's as though those coaching him said, "Brett, you came across too wooden in that FOX interview you need to show some emotion"...

He obviously has a bunch of bottled up emotion - I’d read that he got very angry several times during his WH prep for this hearing. He’s not used to being on the carpet, and he’s really angry about it. Tears are not uncommon as a response to anger.
