I’m confused.
Could it be that the virus hangs out INSIDE PEOPLE where there is no sunshine?

"The rate of people infected with coronavirus in Miami-Dade could be more than 16 times higher than what has been found through testing, Mayor Carlos Gimenez said Friday.
The findings are from the initial results of a random coronavirus sample study being conducted by the county in partnership with the University of Miami.
At a news conference Friday, Gimenez said that about 1,400 people were tested in the first two weeks of the study, and about 6 percent of participants tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies, for an average of 165,000 residents out of the county's 2.75 million residents."

April 23rd.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - One of the first steps the state of Kentucky took when faced with the COVID-19 pandemic was canceling elective and non-emergency procedures at hospitals.
(WKYT)
The move was done to try to limit the use of personal protective equipment, and reduce potential exposure to the virus for health care workers.
Since then, Kentucky’s health care system has been able to keep up with the number of COVID-19 cases, and starting next week some of those health care services will resume."

Is that the new talking point that your minders have instructed you to peddle, that death stats are being inflated?
Whomever should I believe about how many are dying? Educated and trained professionals in diagnosis, pathology and epidemiology relying on objective science? Or those who are drinking bleach and shoving UV lights in their rectums at the call of their witless leader?

It is far more likely that deaths are underreported, considering coroners nationwide have complained about dearth of testing kits to use on corpses and the fact that the earliest known death is now 3 weeks earlier than thought, the virus was clearly circulating in January and doubtless many deaths (like the one February 6 in Santa Clara) that were attributed to heart attack or other natural causes were actually complications of covid19. Many states - N.Y. is one - have no intention of testing samples retrospectively, so likely thousands will be missed from the count.

Correctamundo...It is far more likely that deaths are underreported
Some states and localities are making a good faith effort to get a more accurate count of the likely earlier coronavirus deaths that weren't picked up on at the time of autopsy (some are counting these as "probable" Covid-19 deaths) but with no systematic national process, we'll never have a completely accurate count...
Darren The Dissembler has been attempting to do this with weak, unverified anecdotes for a while now...Is that the new talking point that your minders have instructed you to peddle, that death stats are being inflated?
This appears to be the current successor "argument" Trumpist Propagandists are pushing as a replacement for the now indefensible party line that the whole thing is nothing but pumped-up "media hysteria"...

"Pennsylvania has corrected its coronavirus data multiple times over the past week to account for irregularities, according to new reports.
Earlier this week, Pennsylvania started to include “probable deaths” in its fatalities. As a result, the total number of coronavirus deaths grew by 276, then 360, in successive nights, almost doubling the number of deaths in the state in two days. The Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) subsequently removed 200 deaths from its count after facing mounting questions about the accuracy of the count."

One of Trump's many mistakes was to announce early n the week that he was expected 50,000, maybe 60,000 deaths. Clearly you're going to blow way past that number within days.

"Under a new executive order, Cuomo plans to grant independent pharmacists the authority to conduct diagnostic tests for COVID-19 - collected samples will be tested at labs off site. This could add an additional 5,000 testing locations in New York State.
After weeks of reserving conventional coronavirus testing to people with symptoms to conserve supplies, the state is expanding eligibility to include first responders, health care workers and a long list of essential employees, such as bus drivers, dry cleaners, undertakers and grocery store workers."

Re: The Countdown to the restart of the economy has begun.
So far there have been 5,279,237 tests—15,949 per million, or 1.6%. We clearly have a long way to go, and we have nowhere near the amount of information we need to make any reasonable predictions. We don't even know for sure if the antibodies present in recovered patients confer long-term immunity (or indeed any immunity at all).
It seems to me that those who are flailing around, screaming for "freedom" from the lockdown and frantically hyping one anecdotal "cure" after another on an almost daily basis are the ones who are *REALLY* panicking...NOT those of us who are waiting patiently for the actual scientists to find and analyze the actual data.

Fox News Doc: It's Time For COVID-19 Patients To 'Come Off' Ventilators And Either Survive Or Die
Fox News medical contributor Dr. Nicole Saphier on Sunday said COVID-19 patients would soon need to be removed from ventilators even if they cannot breathe on their own.
"There's going to be more deaths this coming week," Saphier said on Fox & Friends. "The reason I try and explain that to people is although our rates of hospitalization are going down, that is a good thing."
"But we're going to start seeing more deaths," she continued. "Because the people that are having to be in the ICU on the ventilators, they are being kept on the ventilators from anywhere one to four weeks."
Saphier argued that "at some point, they will have to come off the ventilators."
"And they're either going to survive or they're either going to die," she added. "Some of the mortality rates coming out of China are ranging from 60 to 90% of people on the ventilators [who die]. Thankfully, here in the United States, that number varies."

Thanks for posting that, Scooter. That reminds me ventilator shortages have disappeared from the news along with stories of states getting rid of ventilators they never expected to need in the future.Scooter wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 5:12 amFox News Doc: It's Time For COVID-19 Patients To 'Come Off' Ventilators And Either Survive Or Die

How soon we forget.
Meanwhile the good news keeps popping up in other areas of the countries. We're continuing to find that the coronavirus came and went for many in the past.
I've recounted my story with the exception of the unusual dry cough I had for a long time. Who knew I was spreading the virus here, there and everywhere.
