Best not to pick on a religion or even an area. Only political asylum seekers should be allowed - those oppressed by their government. All should go to Guantanamo where they await adjudication.

No economic refugees - no other kind - should be accepted into the USA. Those should be assisted financially and materially by the USA and other countries in the closest location to their own country, pending return to their own country.

The wet foot/dry foot policy favoring Cubans over all other nationalities must be repealed. Yesterday at Fort Jefferson (Dry Tortugas) I learned that Park Rangers have noted a dramatic increase in Cubans boating over there and qualifying to become US citizens in a year just by reaching land. Then the Coastguard must come pick them up and take them to the mainland. These are not political asylum seekers fleeing oppression - they are economic opportunists (don't blame 'em either but....).
