Jim is right except I would say that Hillary is the devil, her co-president said I did it because I could. If she could set up death camps for her enemies she would. Her enemies are evil and deserve their fate in her mind.

Now trump is a flimflam man, salesman, but I am not sure of anything he believes in except himself. But he is smart; he has gotten billions dollar in free publicity that could win him the Republican nomination. But I don’t think he has much of a chance of winning the general election. One can‘t win the presidency unless he can appeal to the moderate middle in the country. The smartest thing he could do would be to play the king maker.

But if Hillary wins she will appoint authoritarian judges that will tolerate no interference from the constitution. They will force it to say whatever fits their agenda. Which will mean less freedom for those of us that are not in the clique.

If you are trying to show us how literate and well-read you are, then you should know that "something wicked this way comes" is actually a line from Shakespeare — Macbeth, specifically; Act IV, Scene 1, 44-49 — and that Bradbury merely borrowed it for his title.

And if you want to "go all Asimov on my ass" especially with regard to US Robotics, Susan Calvin, the team of Gregory Powell and Mike Donovan, and the iconic "Three Laws".... better make sure you're bringing your 'A' game.

The only Shakespeare I know (I think it's Shakespeare) is:
The evil that men do live after them, the good is oft interred with their bones.

Brutus said it I think.

The word authoritarianism is the new racist word. That is a word that is used to control the actions and thoughts of other. If you don’t have political correct thoughts then you are, in their minds, a racist or an authoritarian or in the future perhaps a totalitarian. The way to handle these people is to stand up to them and say what you think and eventually weaken these control words. ( This all is general opinion, I have not had time to read the hold article. )

Oh dear, Mr. Liberty. In my approaching senility due to my advanced age I have alot of trouble keeping up with these things. I have barely caught on to what is meant by 'dog-whistle' in official punditry. I did not realize that 'authoritarian' was a control word. I will have to add that to 'trigger-word' and 'safe-place' in my list of words for my college enrolled grandchildren to explain to me.

I had a hard time just adjusting to 'racist' as a term that could only apply to white people. And don't get me started on 'white people'.
(I think that term should only apply to genuine albinos)

Good grief! I still resist accepting that 'North-American' does not include people from Mexico and 'anti-semite' does not include anti-Arab.

I have never heard any Canadian insist they were not a North American. I have heard individual Canadians insist they were 'Americans' just as much as residents of the USofA, and I have no quarrel with either position.

Wesw, about some things I know we will never agree. Crabs, for instance. I am stereotyping, but I assume you eat these things when you can. I do use Old Bay seasoning on lots of things, but I find crabs have a low cost/benefit ratio (even if someone else is buying) and my fingers are always sore the next day.

If Canadians want to pretend they are Americans and want to call themselves Americans, why don't they change the name of their country to the "United Provinces and Territories of America" instead of just "Canada", eh?

And just think about the new abbreviation — UPTA.  It's a perfect fit:
  • "What are you going to do for vacation this year?"
"Oh, the wife and I decided we'd like to go UPTA Montreal and Toronto for a couple weeks this summer."

yes, I do eat crabs, but I catch my own, I can t afford retail.

crab picking isn t that hard, but you need to be shown the proper way to do it, it isn t an intuitive thing....

my favorite method is to cook the crabs, hand them to holly, take the bowl full of meat that she hands back to me, and make crab cakes.

doesn't bother my hands at all....

last year she developed a crab allergy tho, and swelled up like a puffer fish....

her favorite food too, it s a shame.....

I d feel guilty eating them in front of her now.

going crabbing (chicken necking) is a very enjoyable family outing.

Did you accept that STUFF? The same people that claim to be anti -racist, says that only white people can be RACIST, how racist is that? They change the meaning of words to suit their agenda. If you accept that you are a racist, then you have no right to complain when you or your rights are abused, you deserve it. It is a way of disarming people to make them helpless.

Too subtle, Snail. Way too subtle...
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

I don’t do subtle, if anyone has trouble understanding what I say, ask for clarification and I will make it clear.
