Meade--as someone who has voted for third party candidates (even for president) a number of times, I understand; but since the election appears to be fairly close, I think a vote of that kind could easily wind up as a vote for Trump. Face it, Biden doesn't have anywhere near the number of loyal (or rabid) supporters Trump does--people who will vote for Trump no matter what--and splitting the "no Trump" vote can easily result in Trump's victory. Personally, that compels me to vote for Biden, or pretty much whoever else the dems run, even though I do have my concerns. I don't love voting for the lesser of two evils, but when the alternative is Trump (or, even worse, DeSantis--Trump with some hint of a brain), I don't think I have any real choice. I don't think 4 more years of Biden will be great (and I hope he plays very close attention to his VP candidate as that person may be president for part of it), but a president Trump, or DeSantis (or pretty much whoever else the republicans are likely to run) would be a disaster. I strongly urge you to reconsider.
You were one of the fuckwits who helped elect Bush the stupider by voting for Nader. Hey thanks asshole!
Please--Gore handily won my state; my vote did not affect that. But it did send a message to the dems, and the party, that I was not satisfied with the same shit they have been giving us.

You do know we use the electoral college and not the popular vote to elect the president, don't you? Talk about fuckwits...
Hey fuckwit, this internet thing reaches all states not just your inbred relatives.

Throughout my 20s, I seriously abused alcohol. It must have been awful for my parents. I nearly made it as a serious actor aged 12 - I was considered for the leading role in Just William, but I didn't get it because I was too small. That's a lot of disappointment for a young child. I did manage to work as a carpenter on film sets when I was older, but I was drinking heavily

While I was in my car tonite, I heard a piece of a re-run of Fresh Air interview with David Sadaris about a year ago. Mr. Sadaris was talking about his father and described him as an awful human being. I have no reason to think Mr. Sadaris was not accurate in every way, but he is a great raconteur and I believe he would not let facts get in the way of a good story. But Terry asked him about the overall effect of growing up with this kind of father? the Reply --

Great preparation for the presidency of Donald Trump.

I am hoping that Kamala comes to understand her unfitness and devotes herself to finding better candidates. Not that I am at all hopeful. She is a shit candidate.

Kamala is actually overqualified to be Veep (or potentially POTUS by succession) when compared to what we got with four years of the Hamburglar commuting between Pennsylvania Avenue and Palm Beach.

Rubato, I think you nailed it. The qualities it takes to get elected are very separated from the qualities it takes to be CinC or POTUS.

Yes, I agree Kamila is a shit candidate. I also believe she could possibly be a great president. It is about time we had a POTUS that kicks ass and takes names. I think the last time the Executive Branch was not run by a Committee was way back with Truman. Now the buck never stops.

Kamala is unfit to be president and I would vote for her only if someone as stupid as trump were running against her. She is a weak idiot.

Kamala is far from unfit to be president, this is just more of the misogyny that often exudes from some of the men on this board.

The Democratic version of a Trump voter has spoken. “ anyone who disagrees with me Is suffering from bias” great tactic for eliminating the requirement for thought.

You are comparing these two women based on the fact that they both have breasts and a vagina? Because that is just about all that they have in common. MTG is manifestly unfit for dog catcher, much less the presidency.

More fucking misogyny. Yes, I’m tired of it and fucking angry too.

Light up another spliff, lady ...   You'll mellow out.   Or is calling you a 'lady' instead of something like 'clit-person' a form of 'misogyny', too?

Kamala is not a good public speaker. She does not think well on her feet. She is articulate compared to an average person but not close to Clinton,Bush, Obama and not close to what the job requires. Frankly I am surprised and very disappointed. By.her CV I thought she was promising and I expected better. I was very biased in her favor which makes the accusation of misogyny idiotic and foolish.

I had not paid close attention to her record as SF DA. When I looked back she left the dept in chaos and was disliked which suggests she is not even a good enough politician to work at that level, an order of magnitude.lower than VP or presidential.

I think it is BSgal who is operating on.uninformed bias. Oooooh! She’s a gyno-American People made the knee-jerk error with Hillary (who is head and shoulders above Kamala.).

Admittedly she suffers from being in an administration that makes dumb decisions. Paying off commercial student loans just pumps money into an industry which is broken and hurts education. It would enrich financial actors who loan shark and create fraudulent.schools. Paying people who made stupid decisions is guaranteed to accelerate the rate.of bad decisions.

Using threats and punishment against Uganda is stupid policy. We are not entitled to treat an independent country that way and they are rightly angry about it. We have set back civil rights in that country by many decades. Stupid, only a social retard reaches for threats, punishment and force as the first tools.

Of course not, it isn’t about voting for her or not voting for her.

To make the obviously false and sweeping assertion that she is UNFIT for the presidency is misogyny in action. To assert she is a weak idiot when she has a decades long record evidencing her strength and intelligence is misogyny in action. Period.

I never actually said that.

I simply think she's a two-faced weasel with no morals, no integrity, and who got her start mostly because she was WIllie Brown's mistress.

I feel like I could live with Chris Christie if it had to happen that way, and that he is a big enough jerk/personality that he could walk all over the MAGA idiots in Congress and whip the GOP back into some semblance of sanity.

I wouldn't count on it; he is as big an ass as Trump. He was the worst NJ governor I can recall (and we have a very long line of bad governors), and is not beyond trampling anyone in his way. Remember, he was a vocal (really rabid) Trump supporter until he didn't get what he wanted; the mainly has not changed--he's still a supporter of Trump policies, just not Trump. I kind of see him as a younger Rudy Giuliani. Between him and Trump, I'd either sit it out or vote for a third party candidate--happily he'll never get the democratic nomination, and likely not the republican one either.
