Ryan is against abortion - period. He would not allow abortion if the pregnancy were caused by rape or incest. Oppossed, too broad

He is against allowing human embryonic stem cell research. oppossed

He was for $192B additional anti-recession stimulus spending (evil Obama idea). Too much waste

He voted for the $15B bailout for GM and Chrysler. (another evil Obama idea). Good as long as we get our money back with interest

He is for banning gay adoptions. What is the history of gay adoptions?

He is for prohibiting needle exchange & medical marijuana. medical marijuana: a scam

He is against protecting free-roaming horses and burros. Priorities, humans needs come first

He is against physician-assisted suicide. Just give them the meds and let them go home and do it on their own

He wants to build a fence on the U.S. / Mexican border. Good idea, a wall would be better

He is for terminating funding for National Public Radio. And again, priorities, food and shelter rank higher than entertainment

He is against removing US armed forces from Afghanistan. We got to leave sometime; we can still use air power to influence events

Paul Ryan's African-American college sweetheart has spent time in prison for wire fraud, it emerged today.

Deneeta Pope hit headlines after MailOnline revealed that she was the Republican vice-presidential candidate's ex-girlfriend who opened his eyes to the evils of racism.

She served five months in prison after defrauding her employer Ernst & Young out of $77,000 in 1999, according to the federal Bureau of Prisons.

Ms Pope admitted claiming funds from work to attend an educational course which did not exist.

Mr Ryan has stayed in touch with his ex over the two decades since they broke up - he even attended Ms Pope's wedding in May this year.

Paul Ryan and Deneeta Pope first fell for each other at Miami University of Ohio in the early 1990s. She was a stunning cheerleader and he, pictured here in his yearbook, a good-looking 6ft2in Irish Catholic

The former cheerleader was indicted by a grand jury in November 1999, and two years later pleaded guilty to faking receipts and expense claims in order to steal tens of thousands of dollars.

She would apparently transfer the fraudulently obtained funds to a secret bank account in Chicago, where she currently lives.

Following her conviction, Ms Pope was sentenced to five months in federal prison, and was released in May 2002.

I don't see where having a past girlfriend means anything in this presidential race.
I don't see where anything she did that did not involve the candidate has anything to do with this presidential race.

The only thing even remotely related to this presidential race is

which is a good thing.
Having grown up in a lily white section of Long Island where there was one black family attending the Catholic Grammar school (Corpus Christi in Mineola) I attended and one black family attending the public High School (The Wheatley High School in Old Westbury) I can honestly say I was unaware of much of the strife and prejudice that blacks encountered on a daily basis. So if Paul Ryan "became aware" of racism and how deeply it affected black people and was made aware of that from a black girlfriend all the better. Good for him and her part in his learning.
