Cruz tries to pry the 'crazy' vote from Trumpy

This AGAIN? Wasn't there an unwritten agree to disagree before we all hate each other last time?

maybe every voter registration card should include a permit to carry arms
not that we legally need a permit, we have a constitutional right to bear arms, so all laws restricting good citizens bearing arms are un constitutional.
it makes me sad and angry that the supreme court hasn t made that clearer, we need some new test cases to put these uppity states and right usurping cities back in their places under the constituition
maybe open carry isn t such a bad idea...

Would that include a right to have your own nuclear device? Anti-aircraft battery? Cruise missile? Apache Helicopter?all laws restricting good citizens bearing arms are un constitutional.
Those are all "arms"...
Do you believe laws that prohibit private citizens from owning those to be unConstitutional?

Apparently not for Mr. Farook and his good missus...just so you know, ammo has been scarce, it is harder to get than guns are right now
They were able to get about 5000 rounds...
Wes I notice the past couple of days you've been posting a lot of stuff that makes you look like a raging paranoiac; I hope you've just been posting that nonsense to wind up our Liberal friends...
If however, you sincerely believe that there is some serious plot afoot to confiscate firearms from law abiding citizens, I invite you to again review the process for passing a Constitutional Amendment, and contemplate how likely you think it would be that an amendment repealing the 2nd amendment could make it through that process...
As I said before, the odds are better that I will be selected Rose Bowl Queen...

Re: Cruz tries to pry the 'crazy' vote from Trumpy
I understand that jim, but president Obama and much of the left do not have much respect for our constitution.
president Obama has has numerous executive actions unanimously rejected by the supreme court.
hopefully his usurping of congress' lawmaking powers as they pertain to his sweeping immigration actions will be similarly rejected by the high court.
jim, I suggest you do some research on the ammo supply situation in this country over the last few years. if you do, you will see I am accurate. Obama has even made banking difficult for these industries and homeland security is making massive purchases of ammo to limit its availability to the public.
I do not expect Obama to follow the rules of our nation as far as a constitutional amendment , jim. if he respected the other branches of govt I would not worry about his personal views on gun ownership. he does not respect the supreme court, the congress, the 2nd amendment or anything about this nation and its ideas of liberty. he thinks the govt should control the people, not the opposite as this nations constitution demands
and as you well know, I do not support the right to keep and bear nuclear weapons, I would expect that type of silly rejoinder from someone who is less serious and less honest than you.

and yes, you are correct, I am purposefully showing our liberal friends the results of their actions, tho I think trump would give them a clue to what is in store if they keep telling people what it is ok to think and say, and they keep speaking of disarming the citizenry, and they are speaking of just that.
the Australian model is bandied about as a blueprint by numerous people including Hillary Clinton.
if you expect these folks to follow the rule of law, you are very naïve. you have seen the way the Obama admin, and Hillary, followthe rule of law, does that convince you that they will follow the rule of law pertaining to the 2nd amend. ?
it convinces me otherwise

Wes, I will completely agree that Obama has engaged in substantial Executive over-reach, and flagrantly attempted to thwart the will of the Congress through Executive action...(the first thing he did after he signed a bill passed by overwhelming margins in both Houses prohibiting him from closing Gitmo or transferring the terrorists held there to US soil, was to release five of them to the UAE...right after the Paris attack...what a lovely message that sent...he does not respect the supreme court, the congress, the 2nd amendment...
But I am not aware of an instance where he has defied the will of the Supreme Court...
This amnesty program that he has attempted to unilaterally impose by disingenuously trying to shoe-horn it under "prosecutorial discretion" is a perfect case in point...(Let me say again, as far as the provisions of the program on it's merits, I don't have a huge problem, and I would have supported the bipartisan Immigration Bill that was passed by the Senate...but Obama doesn't have the power to do this on his own)
Even in the light of lower court rulings, Obama has put this on hold, and has not attempted to begin implementing it...
If (as I believe is more than likely) the Supreme Court upholds the 5th Circuit ruling, I do not expect even this President to say "Screw you Supreme Court, I'm going to do it anyway"....
He's never attempted to do that before, so I don't have any reason to believe that he would try to defy a ruling by the SC...

Let's see.... For the last few years, mass shootings have been something we can count on as a regular occurrence into the foreseeable future. Every time a shooting has made national news, gun sales go through the roof. Ammunition sales obviously increase at the same time. A mass shooting is like a free Superbowl ad for the guns & ammo industry.wesw wrote: jim, I suggest you do some research on the ammo supply situation in this country over the last few years. if you do, you will see I am accurate. Along with that, local, state and federal agencies buy more ammunition in order to train police how to shoot straight. It takes a lot of ammo to do that.
Of course, all this time the Fair & Balanced reporters from Fox News and others like them keep pounding home the idea that ammo is scarce and our government wants it that way.
So the paranoid gun nuts run out and try to buy some more ammo to stock up for the impending revolution.
Did it ever occur to the paranoid gun nutz that when all of you hear this and go out and buy as much ammunition as you possibly can to prepare for the government takeover you might have something to do with the lack of inventory? The manufacturers can't make it fast enough.
When there is a bad storm and the local stores run out of generators, flashlights and batteries, is that the governments fault too?
It must be. I heard it on Fox.

That is stupid, offensive and absolute crappresident Obama and much of the left do not have much respect for our constitution.

joe, you are absolutely wrong about the ammo.
I haven t heard it from fox, I have heard it from my son and from my friends. almost every one has guns here.
22 ammo has been the most scarce. for years . gun store s limit customers to one box because they don t hardly ever get the stuff
jim, I am not aware that I ever said that he defied the supreme court. I said he did not respect them.
I m sure that you recall him berating them at the state of the union address.
meade , I know you are but what am I?

It took me all of 1 minute to find the following....wesw wrote:joe, you are absolutely wrong about the ammo.

From Wikipedia - "People walk into the store, they don't see as much as they want so they take everything they can get. The next guy who comes in can't get anything, so he panics."[15] [this shortage] is purely a consumer driven shortage.”
Which is a quote from the motley fool
Sometimes the explanation for paranoid gun owner concerns is the simplest one. It's difficult for most of them to accept that a government conspiracy involving Obama isn't involved in creating their perceived crisis.

So, what do you think is the reason for the shortage of .22 ammo, wesw?
The government is buying it all?
Did you read either of the links?
Let's see it...

Re: Cruz tries to pry the 'crazy' vote from Trumpy
you may be right about the reason for the 22 shortage , joe.
that doesn t change the fact that thru , regulation of certain ammo and thru manipulation of banking practices, the Obama admin has made life and banking difficult for many 'risky' industries.

Seems logical to me.wesw wrote:you may be right about the reason for the 22 shortage , joe
What ammo has the Obama admin regulated and how is it regulated? Is it ammo that most gun owners use?wesw wrote:that doesn t change the fact that thru , regulation of certain ammo and thru manipulation of banking practices, the Obama admin has made life and banking difficult for many 'risky' industries.
Changes in the banking industry came about when more of us started to realize back in 2008 that some banks were too big to fail. What would you have done if you were in charge, Wesw Bernanke? Or should I call you Wesw Yellen?
