I pursue them everyday, brother.

I took the front seat out of my truck today and baby sat an infant for 8 hrs, played with the dog....

I was thinking about what you said as I went to the store earlier, and what I missed...

well, I thought sports at first. I still ride my bike, but I can t ride hard anymore.

but the thing I miss most is walking. I used to love to walk, for miles and miles, my son and I would follow river and pond systems , fishing and I would walk long distances to crab and fish at secluded beaches too.

I would just explore forests and stuff. I loved it.

no more tho, it just aggravates my sciatica too much. bike riding doesn t tho, so that s good.

I see the bright side of life nowadays, and I am blessed.

at first, the thing I missed most was my lung, then a couple years later, I had to stop working, and that really hurt. my whole sense of self worth was tied up in my work and what it provided me, and my family.

but I ll tell you , after the countless years of horrible pain and my horrible single mindedness in being tougher than anyone, I no longer miss that person, or the misery of the incessant pain.

I still hurt, but I don t have to fab steel all day, so its easier.

I can spend an hour on my truck, then rest my crooked ass neck for an hour.
