You want regressive state income taxes? -- MA -- a flat 5.20% on (I believe) all gross income above $8,000 (12% on short-term capital gains).

BSG, I'm going to suggest that you not put that on your business cards or any other promotional materials...

I'll give you that business marketing consultation gratis... 8-)

That's actually what the locals call it . . . I also learned the term 'Montucky' from the locals here.

But I know better than to trash the place to their faces - and it's really NOT a bad place, just very quirky, and very small town - but surrounded by absolutely gorgeous mountains, lakes, wildlife, etc.

I'm also a hop, skip & jump from Helena and Bozeman, both places with plenty to do.

When I lived right outside Boston, I still spent most of my time at home - I'm a homebody, so this little town is okay by me and the nicest thing about it is that people know me and like me. Some of the folks who are nicest to me include those I've prosecuted, which says something about how I treat folks no matter where they are 'in the system'.
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

HAH. I believe we've got you beat here in Illinois: a flat 5% of all federal adjusted gross income, with only a $2125 personal exemption.

That's a good idea...

Potential clients generally don't like to be insulted or abused*...
