Well, Drumpf is right about one thing...Scooter wrote:This has got be a first. I don't believe that there has ever been a presidential candidate endorsed by both the KKK and the Nation of Islam.
Go Donald!!!
So, you have this funny looking guy of German descent with a chip on his shoulder a mile wide and at least a bit of megalomania also going on in his personality profile, using his charismatic gifts for connecting with people to the end of stirring up the hatred and bigotry of all classes, with just the right amount of plausible deniability for the truly racist connections that many more moderate citizens can still justify liking him - for his supposed genius economic plan to revitalize the nation in very hard times for the average Gerry; details alarmingly thin, but crowds cheer - and yet this guy does not in any way whatsoever remind you . . . just a little in terms of personality profile . . . of another German tyrant of years past?Lord Jim wrote:On The Today Show this morning Trump attempted blame his inability to condemn David Duke and the KKK on a "bad ear piece"...
The problem wasn't his ear piece, it was his mouth piece... Looks to me like he heard everything just fine:
"I know nothing about David Duke, I know nothing about white supremacists"....
Yeah, Trumpty, you're a regular Sergeant Schultz...
Except, oh yeah:
ETA:In 2000, Trump was unambiguous about condemning the intolerance of the Reform Party, because it “now includes a Klansman, Mr. Duke, a neo-Nazi, Mr. Buchanan, and a communist, Ms. Fulani,” he said. “This is not company I wish to keep.'' On Friday, Trump was asked about Duke’s support, and replied, “I disavow him, OK?” But somehow, by Sunday, he’d forgotten both who Duke was, and how repellent his ideology is.
Mike Barnacle made an excellent point on Morning Joe earlier:
He pointed out that Trump is a guy who has no problem calling people "stupid" and "losers", etc., all day long...
Why can't he bring himself to use some of that "Trump language" to describe David Duke and the KKK?
The answer is as obvious as it is disgusting...

Most Trump supporters, and I include Wes in this, have legitimate frustration/anger/etc. with the status quo and how both parties have failed miserably to protect the middle class in this country. The thing everyone here, except Wes, seems to understand is that Trump is a con man who is tapping into that legitimate viewpoint and cynically dancing with the media all the way to a likely nomination. Trump may believe a little of what he is saying, but for the most part he is manipulating a huge part of the voters in an obvious way. It's possible, Wes, that you understand this and say at least he cares enough to be "our" voice. But Trump is an obnoxious huckster. If you want to see an authentic candidate tapping into much the same frustration/anger but on the left side, take a look at Sanders, he's the real deal.
Let's have this no good bastard finally put to ground...wesw wrote:don t you worry your pretty little head about it, sweetie, just let the menfolk handle this......![]()
