Rob Ford now officially a sports jinx

As if he didn't have enough to answer for (if you haven't been following the latest in the Ford Follies, there is way too much to catch up on), he must now wear the label of being bad luck to any sports team he supports:
Torontonians of the redneck persuasion may put up with a mayor who smoke crack, puts out hits on those who threaten to reveal his secrets, and beats his wife, but there's no f'ing way they will vote for a guy who will curse their beloved Maple Leafs.The football-loving mayor, who gave a tough-talking budget speech last Monday while wearing a Denver Broncos jersey, is now being lumped into sports-curse mythology alongside the Chicago Cubs’ dreaded Billy Goat. The Broncos’ humiliating loss in the Super Bowl Sunday night marks the third straight time Ford has publicly donned a football jersey, only to have that team lose. (For those counting, the previous cursees were the Buffalo Bills on Dec. 1 and the Toronto Argonauts on November 17.)
Ford also wore a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey prior to the team’s epic playoff meltdown against the Boston Bruins last May, but it’s still too soon to talk about that.
