In all seriousness the fellow has an impressive resume...
But wouldn't selecting some one to lead the party who has had actual experience serving his country in the military, (in combat no less) be a very un-Labour thing to do? Don't they tend to prefer sandal wearing peace marchers to boot clad military men?
It would certainly seem like a smart move, signaling to the electorate that they "get it" and want to move in direction that reflects ordinary working people rather than snooty lefty college professors...
Which is why I strongly doubt it will happen...

He and his brother Rob Jarvis are fans of Nottingham Forest, with both as children failing to gain tickets in the ballot for the 1989 F.A. Cup semi-final between Forest and Liverpool, and hence they did not have to witness the Hillsborough disaster
Phew! That was close! if I'd been born in 1890 I might have been unable to afford a ticket for the Carpathia in 1912 and thus I did not have to witness that Titanic tragedy!

Hmmm
I'm going to wait until my ballot papers come through.
Yvette Cooper and Andy Burnham are neck and neck for me with Andy just ahead, he's a passionate guy and as shadow health secretary he's proved to me at least that he puts the needs of people first.
I voted for Dave over Ed in the last leadership contest despite Ed being seemingly more left leaning of the two, what we need is a leader who is electable and gets the zeitgeist and works with it.
