So many people voted for me as Poster of the Year that I have decided to declare the results unanimous and will shortly declare myself to be the 2,017th Republican candidate. Make it so

No can do.
Having not heard anything I like from those already in that I'm getting ready to toss my own hat into the ring.
Of course I need a platform. Building one in the garage right now. Making it out of oak.

Ah, Michigan... go west until you step in it....
Yes I live in Ohio wesw. But I don't listen to the news; don't watch the news; don't read a newspaper (other than the occasional glance to see what old shed got burned down in Ravenna)(not the one in Italy). Kasich - I've heard good things from other people who don't follow the news either, but what do they know?
If he's the Reptilian candidate in whatever year it is, I'll vote for him unless someone more human than Billary Clintone is the Demonrat runner.

It's starting to look more and more like Kasich is going to make the cut for the 10th position in the first debate, and avoid the "little candidates table" that will be on several hours earlier...
Fingers crossed...
In fact if Trumpty Dumpty wasn't dominating every cable news cycle, the fact that Kasich has pulled out of the out of the 1 percent range since his announcement, up into the 5-7 per cent range, (despite the fact that Trumpty Dumpty has been dominating every news cycle, and there are 16 candidates) would actually be the big news development in the race...(and if it weren't for Trumpty Dumpty's media oxygen sucking presence, Kasich would have gotten a bigger bump)
If there is
anything positive that can be said about Trumpty Dumpty's involvement in this process from a loyal Republican point of view, (and as a person who
fervently wishes that the next POTUS be a Republican, it is difficult to find much that is positive about it...)
It is the fact that his freak show Howard Beale-like presence on the debate stage next week will draw a
huge audience, giving other
serious candidates an opportunity to show what they have to offer to a much larger audience than would otherwise be the case...
It's truly an ill wind that blows
no one any good...

If you have one, follow it. To the nearest dictionary might be best.

On
Morning Joe the last couple of days, they had a focus group, (about 16 people or so) who were self identified Republican New Hampshire "Trump supporters"...
The most astonishing thing to me personally was that when these wing bats were asked "if you didn't have Trump to support who would you support?"
Half of them said Ben Carson, and the rest of them said "nobody"...
In other words, what these folks were trying to get across was, "we are
so fed up with the current political system, that if we can't have the
most completely unqualified person, we would like to have the
second most completely unqualified person... "
I just don't know where to go with that...

This is where we're headed...
The Presidency of Howard Beale...

...the second most completely unqualified person...
I would think that Carly Fiorina qualifies (errr...unqualifies? disqualifies?) for that position...but yeah, it's close to a 5-way tie.
