I'm sure it wont be long before he shits all over that brief moment of Presidential propriety and drowns it out by yet again embarrassing the country and disgracing his office with some fresh petty vileness ...
Well, that didn't take long:
Trump insulted Nancy Pelosi and Robert Mueller while at a cemetery for American WWII dead

The president didn’t let the solemnity of the occasion stop him from talking trash about his political enemies.

President Donald Trump spent most of Thursday in Normandy, France, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day and honor the Americans who fought and died to liberate France from Nazi occupation in World War II.

But he didn’t let the solemnity of the occasion stop him from talking trash about his political enemies.

Sitting just a few feet away from the thousands of white grave markers at the Normandy American Cemetery, where more than 9,000 American war dead are buried, Trump gave an interview to Fox News’s Laura Ingraham in which he insulted former special counsel Robert Mueller and said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi — or “Nervous Nancy,” as he called her — is “a disaster.”

Asked if he would mind if Mueller were to testify before Congress, as House Democrats want, Trump replied that the special counsel had “made a fool out of himself” the last time he testified.

Trump then added: “Nancy Pelosi — I call her ‘Nervous Nancy’ — Nancy Pelosi doesn’t talk about it. She’s a disaster. She’s a disaster. Let her do what she wants, you know what? I think they’re in big trouble.”

It’s not clear which of Mueller’s previous testimonies the president was referring to. Mueller has not testified before Congress since he was appointed as special counsel, but he did make a rare public statement last week to clarify the findings of his report on the Russia investigation.

  • ...Pelosi was actually in Normandy as well as part of a congressional delegation to commemorate the D-Day anniversary. When asked for her reaction to Trump’s comments, Pelosi replied, “I don’t talk about the president while I’m out of the country. That’s my principle.”

Per the Guardian:

Last year, the rightwing broadcaster [Katie Hopkins] was ordered to pay hundreds of thousands of pounds in damages and legal costs after she sent tweets in 2015 which falsely implied [food writer Jack] Monroe backed the defacement of war memorials by protesters.
She made some totally unsubstantiated allegations - such that even the Daily Mail (which is not, IMO, famous for its strict adherence to factual reporting) fired her. Hardly a respected columnist.

Yes, similar to professional kiss-ass, Piers Morgan.

One of my favourite British coinages of the last ten years is 'omnishambles' - first used in a fictional satirical BBC program in 2009; but clearly appropriate for any number of situations since then: obviously Brexit, but to P45's administration in all its horrific enormity.

Nixon had two honest people in his administration; Richardson and Dean. Trump has zero.

Is there anything this toad will not lie about?
'Her people say she hasn't had as much fun in 25 YEARS!' Trump steps up claims of a special relationship with Queen Elizabeth - who has never expressed a public opinion about a serving politician since 1952

President Donald Trump bragged Queen Elizabeth had the most fun in 25 years when he saw her during his state visit to the UK - even though the Queen hasn't publicly commented on politics since 1952, the year she ascended to the throne.

'I had such a great relationship and we were laughing and having fun. Her people told me she hasn't had so much fun in 25 years,' Trump told 'Fox & Friends' in a 45-minute interview Friday morning.

'Now, then I got criticized for it because they said we were having too much fun. It doesn't matter, but we have a great relationship and I had a great relationship with Charles, and honestly I have a very good relationship with a lot of the foreign leaders,' he added.

The Queen has celebrated many happy events in the 25-year time frame that President Trump referred to.

She has marked her Golden and Diamond jubilees on the throne, attended numerous family weddings, celebrated the birth of several great grand children - including George, Charlotte, Louis and Archie - saw her horse win the Gold Cup and stole the show at the 2012 Olympics when she participated in a James Bond video with actor Daniel Craig.

In the video, which played during the opening ceremony, 007 arrived at Buckingham Palace to escort the Queen to the ceremony.

She delivered the line: 'Good evening, Mr. Bond' to the delight of the crowd.

The crowd at London's Olympic Park also roared when two stunt doubles - dressed as the Queen and James Bond - parachuted into the stadium.

The palace said the Queen was 'happy' and 'delighted' to take part in the video.

She's also enjoyed state visits with the Obamas and the Bushes in the past 25 years along with several other world leaders, including a 2015 visit with Nelson Mandela that was said to be a particular joy for her.

And then there are other events in the course of her royal duties.

She was spotted smiling broadly in 2018 when she sat in the front row of designer Richard Quinn's London fashion show next to Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

She awarded Quinn with the inaugural Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design.

But one of her greatest moments was in 2013, when her horse Estimate won the Gold Cup at Ascot.

A life-long lover of horses who breeds at her own stable, the Queen clapped her hands with delight when her four-year-old filly crossed the finish line.

Peter Phillips, the Queen's grandson, said at the time: 'It's been amazing, this is her passion, this is her life, every year she is here, every year she strives to have winners and to win the big one at Royal Ascot means so much to her and so much to her supporters.'

The Queen remains famously tight-lipped about her views on politics.

When The Sun reported in March 2016 the monarch backed Brexit, the palace was quick to snap back.

'The Queen remains politically neutral as she has for 63 years,' the palace said. 'The referendum is a matter for the British people to decide.'

The Queen has never given an interview to the press and has never voted in an election.

Her views, which she shares in private conversations, have sometimes leaked out.

During the Scottish referendum campaign, she was reported as saying: 'I hope people will think very carefully about the future.'

But Trump has bragged about his relationship with her and their time together 'incredible.'

'I think I can say I really got to know her because I sat with her many times and we had automatic chemistry, you understand that feeling, it's a good feeling,' he told Fox News' Laura Ingraham last week.

Trump and the Queen met at Buckingham Palace on the first day of the trip - which included a white-tie state dinner. The two also paid tribute to D-Day veterans during a ceremony at Portsmouth.
