if you can, please ask them to put cheney away until after the election. he is roundly disliked and distrusted, and despised in no small measure. you will lose independents in droves if he is a major part of the campaign.

no matter how right he is, or what good arguments he makes, people tune him out and automatically are turned away from any position he takes.

as you can see here, only a small part of the public, and a minority of republicans can stand the idea of "enhanced interrogation", torture in my view. cheney is it s chief cheerleader.

you will lose turnout, at least, if he is a major player.
