ok..., I don t mean to seem uncaring, but I may be painted that way....

let s look with our minds at this issue.....

the fireman and policemen who are sick as a result of their service need this because? , .....

1).... I assume that they had good health insurance from their various depts. and unions

2) they also should be covered by workmen s comp insurance

3) Obama care is the law of the land.

....so, why aren t these things sufficient?

they may not be sufficient, but if they are not..., we need to consider whether or not the health insurance companies are of any use to our nation at all.

I say it is time ruin their stranglehold on our nation.

What do you mean by "good" health insurance coverage. Even good coverage isn't 100% coverage for anyone, nor does workers comp provide a lifetime of equivalent benefits. The ACA provisions don't necessarily apply either since these people likely already had health insurance.

I believe the legislation provides for more generous care than what is provided conventionally because of what they did, where they did it, and the kinds of health effects they are experiencing -- which is generally far different than those impacts that could be expected based on their work.

The coverage also included residents of the downtown area and parts of Brooklyn who have been made sick because of the environmental impacts of the attacks in those neighborhoods. An ex-boyfriend of mine really has been incredibly sick since then - how whole life changed because he lived down there. His health care costs have been extraordinary and I believe he has received some assistance from NYState and the Feds.
