At least 18 dead after explosions, shooting in Paris at different bars, restaurants
Updated: Friday, November 13, 2015, 4:39 PM
At least 18 people have been killed after multiple explosions and shootings at different locations in Paris, according to reports.
Two people opened fire at the Le Carillon bar, while another shot up the Cambodge restaurant in the city’s 10th district, according to French media cited by the BBC.
The shootings happened along Rue de la Fontaine au roi, Rue de Charonne and Rue Bataclan, Le Figaro reported.
Two explosions were heard at a bar near Stade de France, where France was hosting Germany in a soccer game. The president was apparently there and was taken out by security, Le Figaro reports.
A BBC journalist at the Cambodge restaurant says he can see 10 people on the road either dead or seriously injured.
He says police have now arrived.
Shooting is said to be continuing.

CNN is now reporting that at least 60 people have been taken hostage by gunmen at a 4th location at a concert hall.
ETA:
France 24, citing police, said that the attackers had also taken an estimated 60 people hostage at the concert venue, where the American rock band Eagles of Death Metal was playing a show.

Now hold on Dale and Meade, we shouldn't leap to the conclusion that this is an Islamicist terrorist attack...
It could just be a remarkable coincidence...a whole bunch of disgruntled former employees all going off at once...
Or maybe it was the Westboro Baptist Church....

...and CNN.
"We understand the terrorists are searching the concert hall for people hiding"
"We think there are 60 people in there... any confirmation of that number please, Pierre?"
"Maybe they've tuned in to CNN?"
"Is it 60 or 62? I think it's 62"
etc.

You always get a lot of conflicting and odd sounding reports when something like this is unfolding...
I've been switching back and forth between CNN and BBC World News...
CNN ran a clip of the soccer game when the explosion went off near the stadium...
That was a big explosion; it was certainly no hand grenade...

There's supposed to be a big UN climate change conference kicking off in Paris in just a little over two weeks (Nov. 3Oth)....
A large number of Heads-of-Government from around the world, (including our own President) were expected to attend the opening session...
I have a strong feeling that that's going to be either postponed or moved to a location in the French Alps or a military base...

we helped the kurds drive the ISIS from sinjair (sp), the Yazidi s former home, today, may be coincidental....

may be coincidental....
Total coincidence wes...
It also has nothing to do with our likely elimination of "Jihad Johnnie"...
A simultaneous multi-target operation of this scale involving this many terrorist operatives in a Western city requires
a lot of organization and advance planning...
They didn't decide to do this yesterday...

you are probably right, it was certainly planned. the timing could have been adjusted tho.
eta- jesus, they say that they are executing hostages, and that the hostages are begging the cops to come ....
