I keep seeing crap all over the interwebs, only 2 days after the shooting and before the police were able to conclude - as they now have - that ALL of the terrorists were European nationalists, and NOT refugees, that the U.S. should BAN ALL SYRIANS AND MUSLIMS from coming to the U.S. as refugees.
What do YOU think? Be honest, tell the ugly truth.

I forgot to add an option for building
concentration internment camps for the Muslims already living here in the U.S.
That's a definite requirement for our future safety, no????

I say let the women and children be taken care of until all those fighting age men take their countries back, then they can go home and live in peace.
of course that isn t realistic, so Obama should be for it.....

Now there's a shock. The party of ignorant reactionary fearmongering strikes again.

I could not find the option for "Close the borders and don't let any of them in. Instead, provide assistance to rehouse them within the borders of adjacent Middle East countries"
Oh wait... I forgot. Those adjacent Middle East countries don't want anything to do with 'em.

Do you have a link for that? I'm seeing where un-named officials are saying that all those who have been
positively identified "so far" are European nationals, but I'm not seeing anything about official police conclusions...
I'm the maybe vote...
But I also agree with Meade, it would be better to provide aid to those adjacent countries in the region....
And it would be best of all to (as we should have done four years ago) establish a safe zone within Syria for the refugees.

I'd like to know if there have been authoritative and massively promoted fatwahs issued against IS in an effort to raise all Islam against them.
Also, in mosques all across the world, are there no declarations of jihad against IS? If there is one thing that the faith needs protection from, above all, it's not "crusaders" but perverters of the Q'ran.

Muslim Scholars Release Open Letter To Islamic State Meticulously Blasting Its Ideology
More than 120 Muslim scholars from around the world joined an open letter to the “fighters and followers” of the Islamic State, denouncing them as un-Islamic by using the most Islamic of terms.
Relying heavily on the Quran, the 18-page letter released Wednesday (Sept. 24) picks apart the extremist ideology of the militants who have left a wake of brutal death and destruction in their bid to establish a transnational Islamic state in Iraq and Syria.
[ ... ]
Awad said its aim is to offer a comprehensive Islamic refutation, “point-by-point,” to the philosophy of the Islamic State and the violence it has perpetrated. The letter’s authors include well-known religious and scholarly figures in the Muslim world, including Sheikh Shawqi Allam, the grand mufti of Egypt, and Sheikh Muhammad Ahmad Hussein, the mufti of Jerusalem and All Palestine.

Sheik Abdullah bin Bayyah, 79, is a prominent Muslim cleric and, as a respected religious scholar, has issued edicts to explain why groups such as the so-called Islamic State, also known as ISIL or ISIS, are misguided and should reverse course.
Last week, key clerics from the Muslim world issued two fatwas, or religious edicts, against the group.
One came from senior religious leaders in Saudi Arabia, and the other came from bin Bayyah. His fatwa calls for dialogue about the true tenets of Islam and, over the course of many pages, questions just about everything for which ISIS says it stands.

Muslims Around the World Condemn Paris Attacks
Muslims from around the world are making it clear ISIS does not represent their values. Iranian president Hassan Rouhani denounced the attacks, postponing his trip to Europe to renew peace talks on the Syrian conflict.
[ ... ]
Joko "Jokowi" Widodo, the president of Indonesia, the largest Muslim country on earth, roundly condemned the attacks, telling reporters, "Indonesia condemns the violence that took place in Paris." In a now-viral video on YouTube, a Moroccan man expressed his condolences to the victims, saying, "These so-called jihadists only represent themselves."
Arab states Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar and Egypt have all condemned the attacks[ ... ]

Yep, keep out them Germans, Austrians and other political refugees as well. Smart people back in 1938....
(Boy - even back then they used code words instead of "Jews"? Horrible!)

Oh,
especially "back then"...
At the risk of triggering Godwin's Law, I've got to say that I'm honestly astonished that so many now see our nation's willingness to slam the door and send Jews back to the death camps as something to be admired and emulated...

ETA but it won't be long before Shawn O'Bama pretends that somebody did

I don't vote in poles even when they give me that option.
And I say no. Don't let any in.
I agree with LJ, carve a "safe zone" in Syria and keep them there. If they want to immigrate, let them go through the usual channels.
And when I see thatmany of the refugees are of "draft age", I say definately keep them out. They are not willing to fight for their own country (on whatever side) then why would we want them here? Would they fight for the USA? I don't think so

No the Governors do not control immigration, but the governments they control do not have to cooperate with Obama either.

Does Obama realize the these people are honkies? With good active Southern Baptist proselytizing in a generation or two they may make good white Christians, those unintended consequences. We Baptist should turn our efforts from feeding Africans to converting American Muslims.
