As I've said before Anderson Cooper is my favorite current news interviewer...

I'm sure that personally he's probably a liberal, but he's a consummate professional who doesn't give a pass to anyone, regardless of the party or ideology of the person he's interviewing...and he does it with persistence, not rudeness or over talking and shouting...(like Chris Mathews)

One of my favorite interviews of his is the one where he completely exposed Debbie Pinocchio-Schultz as a shameless liar regarding a fund-raising letter the DNC sent out...

I don't believe she's had the guts to be interviewed by him since...(She much prefers to be interviewed by her pals over at MSNBC, like Andrea Mitchell)

He does his homework, he has relevant follow-ups, and he listens to the replies and follows up appropriately...

When he's dealing with somebody who's trying to deflect and ignores the questions being asked, he stays on point with patient, but relentless tenacity...

Anderson Cooper would never have gotten steam-rolled by The Traitor Snowden the way Brian Williams was...

I saw part of that New Year's Eve wes...

We watched part of his NYE show with Kathy Griffin...(Yeah, New Years Eve has gotten to be a pretty exciting time 'round here... Brooke Baldwin, who was broadcasting from New Orleans with Don Lemon really seemed sloshed...Lemon even more so...)

Frankly I don't care what he does in his spare time; I care about how he handles his day job ...

CNN's Anderson Cooper cut loose on stage with Madonna on Saturday -- well, kind of.

During a performance at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, Madonna pulled Cooper onstage to dance along to "Unapologetic Bitch."

The CNN anchor awkwardly swayed back and forth in front of the large crowd. At one point, Madonna proceeded to bend him over and spank him.

"I don't think you need an introduction," Madonna said afterwards. "Ladies and gentlemen, a big round of applause for Anderson Cooper."

She gave Cooper points for effort despite his refusal to get too weird.

"That was like the low-key CNN style, right?" the singer said. "That's CNN 'Unapologetic Bitch.' Like, I'm not gonna get too cray cray on stage, right? You know what? You did good. You're a brave man."

Madonna then gave Cooper a prize for being such a good sport: a banana.

"Now, there are so many things you can do with a banana," she told Cooper, making him blush. "I'm sure you can figure out what to do with it."

Following the event, Cooper posted a few photos on his Instagram page that captured the adorable moments he spent onstage with Madge.

I watched it again and, my eyes saw exactly what they saw the first time; Madonna was the one doing the raunch; he had just been pulled up on the stage and had no idea what she had planned...

But then maybe you have more experience at knowing how to judge "all in" then I do when it comes to bending over and getting spanked...

As a journalist, he's a consummate professional; I don't see how joking around at a Madonna concert, or on a New Year's Eve special, has the slightest relation to that...

It may help him draw in a younger demographic to his news show, which would be a "good thing" in my view...

Cooper's news shows could certainly use the younger demographic that 57 yr old Madonna draws....

for the record, I think that Cooper is one of the top two or three straight news people at CNN. not much competition there, I know, but still...

he lost my daughter when he said that it is easier and cheaper , in some places, for a 12-13 kid to get a gun than it is for them to get a book.
