This is not as far-fetched as it might seem.
If Hillary is indicted for her blatant disregard for various national secrecy laws (or for lying to Congress about Bengazi), the timing could demand that the nomination go to the #2 candidate at the time. And of course the Trumpster is, if not the favorite to win the Republican nomination, certainly a possibility.
A funner thing to ponder would be, who would come out of the Democrat woodwork if the indictment scenario became reality? Algore? Biden? Pelosi?
