My father was with
The New York Daily News for 27 years...
He rose to Washington Bureau Chief and later Editorial Page Editor...(And he was also a President Of The National Press Club, and the main lounge there is named after him...)
But if he wasn't already dead, (laid to rest in Arlington Cemetery with a Bronze Star for his service in The Big One) he would die
a second time if he laid eyes on this:

The NY Daily News has a long and storied history of being kind of "edgy"...
But the Statue Of Liberty giving the finger...
That seems like a bridge too far...

well, I ve just had an interesting, a very interesting, read.

I read until [74] . the part where he was "talking about some "old goose" sending, and bringing back, troops from Lebanon...
my eyes were getting tired and I thought it was a good stopping point.

They got it right today, too. The headline over a photo of Sarah and the TrumptyDump is: "I'm with stupid."

That sounds really interesting...
How does the library feel it compares to the other Presidential libraries? Did it say anything about feeling resentful that some Presidential libraries get more visitors than it does? Is it happy with the maintenance it receives? How does it like being located in Missouri?

An aside: As a kid, I went to the Truman Library once on a family trip, and President Truman himself came out to greet the visitors and answer questions. It was really quite something.

Tommy is leading them to their 10th AFC championship game in 15 years as QB. They have won 6, and of course gone on to win 4 Superbowls.
Meanwhile the NY/NJ football teams have been on vacation for a while now. At least the Washington Native Amercans got to play in a playoff game.

yeah jim, it was a really solid piece...
I enjoyed reading it. you should post it.
I greatly enjoyed talking to the old fellas about their war experiences..., you had to get to the bar early tho, they left before the afterwork crowd came in.
I would imagine that they are all gone now..., most of the ones I knew anyway...,they became fewer and fewer, as old men do
in age there is wisdom.
