,,, black people commit more crimes than white people (Democratic debate). Well, they didn't say that - what they did was beg for the black vote by saying there's too many blacks in jail

update: pandering pandering

marijuana is cool: pandering pandering

So far this is lower in quality and class than the 2nd debate

Ah... free everything for everybody... that's the ticket (and the evil police must become doctors1)

Update
I turned it off. They are making me sick - sound like republican debaters

man, you missed it then. they went after each other. Bernie basically called her corrupt for taking hundreds of thousands in speaking fees from goldman-sachs. it was a free for all for a while. I think that Bernie stuck her pretty good. o malley said she was lying.....

Bernie seems to have edged out the competition. Hillary has much tweaking to do before the Iowa Caucuses. O'Malley appears too proud to drop.

Run, Bernie, run.

I would vote for Sanders before I would Clinton. Logically applied Socialism doesn’t bother me; give away socialism doesn’t work because few people will work if they can avoid it. And some things just can’t be done in a profit based economy; some of our problem could be solved through the use of socialism. I could vote for Sanders if my second amendment among others rights would be safe.

Correct and just socialism does not bother me ,I have seen to many conservatives "paint the sieve " of "trickle down " economics ,by my studies I have concluded that " Georgian " economics and the abolition of the "Federal Reserve " would be a far better deal for the average person . :ok

Unavoidable discursion: "paint the sieve". Now that's a new one for me. Google doesn't seem to have it. What does it mean? One can sieve paint but why paint a sieve?

One Democratic debate spent more time on criminal justice than every GOP debate combined

I guess if you don't waste time trying to whip up hatred for Mexicans and fear of Muslims you can get down to real issues.

Perhaps you don't understand what "pandering" means? The Reps pander to whom they pander; the Dems to whom they pander.

In the particular case, Dems pander to the black vote by demagoguery on the subject of violence (code word for violence against blacks with a sop thrown in somewhere such as, "of course everyone suffers from violence"). God forbid they should mention the reason blacks are in jail out of all proportion to numbers is not racism but er... crime.

My granddaughter (staunch Dem for Bernie) reached the same conclusion I did - the debate hosts purposely framed the debate to bring out the worst in Hillary and Bernie and keep that third place loser quiet.

Your knowledge of "socialism" is about as deep as your knowledge of Chinese algebra.

I know, I just picked the darker side of it.

I have some knowledge of the british labour struggles and the hardball stuff on both sides, miners et al.

our union history isn t totally different, or our miner s' struggles and battles.

I also am aware of European socialist policies, their benefits (socialized medicine) , and their down sides (welfare states that coddle the very enemies that seek to destroy you.

but I choose to see the darker side of socialism, and where it leads.

what I wrote about socialism was certainly not a complete history, I just wrote it quickly as it came into my head with one small change later, but it was all true.

was it not?

All communist thugs are socialist, but not all socialist are communist or thugs. Even the United State is socialist to a small degree.

Pretty good wesw ,its an expression I created ,when you" paint the sieve" the filtering action is gone .People can corrupt anything (usually to their own advantage ) oh how I miss some of the older Folks as I get on in years .As someone said the US is already a socialist country to some degree ,socialized medicine exists to some degree ,etc .Pure socialism has the potential for great evil ,when the "Hogs at the trough " shove the runts away and the First Cows "Muddy the Spring " for everyone else , as rent payers we are very much subject to the whims of those with power who tell us we must pay them for what should be a common legacy (see Gerogain economics )

My granddaughter (staunch Dem for Bernie) reached the same conclusion I did - the debate hosts purposely framed the debate to bring out the worst in Hillary and Bernie and keep that third place loser quiet.

So you admit that the Republicans pander to hatred and whip up fear and the Democrats do not.

Therefore there is no equivalence.
