I was fully prepared, one year ago, to be faced with the soul draining choice between Bush and Clinton.
I was fully prepared to just stay home, the way many of my peers have done their whole lives.
mine eyes had seen the light, and it had illuminated just how horrible our politics and politicians had become.
now I am just overjoyed that it is seeming to be shaping up into a trump-sanders contest.
with all that I ve said about socialism, I could accept Bernie, if only for the novelty, because I don t despise him, I just disagree with him.
I believe that he believes in this nation s founding principles and ideals.
there is so much common ground that we share.
even with my most ardent foes here, I share basically the same views on health care, campaign finance, especially superpacs, and the environment to a degree. tho I am more for preserving the land itself, and keeping it and the water clean, but still think that the regulations are oppressive. I also support developing our oil, safely and quickly, while we transition to more sustainable, and local, power producing methods.
so we may be apart, but not miles and miles apart.
even trump likes single payer and shares some of the same campaign finance concerns as you and I.
so shine on you crazy diamonds...., America needs you.
