Re: Planned Parenthood vid indictments
Keen to know more about that. It seems a bit confusing?Instead, Daleiden was indicted for the “purchase and sale of human organs" — a charge that appears to stem from Daleiden's undercover attempts to purchase fetal tissue from Planned Parenthood as he sought to record the encounter for his sting videos.

Ah yes, that's helpful - thanksGuinevere wrote:Check out the internal link for "local reports" it has a few more details.
The organization alleged that Daleiden and others used aliases, obtained fake government I.D.s, and formed a fake tissue procurement company in an effort to gain access to private areas and record private conversations to be deceptively edited to create a false impression.

The line about the judge is from "The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia," has nothing to do with Texas and even if it did would have nothing to do with this story, since there is no judge involved (yet). And when exactly have you ever seen me express any "hate and contempt for Texas and Texicans"? Go ahead, I'll wait. Nowhere, right?liberty wrote:Hey this is Texas so does, “ the judge in the town have blood stains on his hands“ ? The weasels who made this false and malicious propaganda film might get what they richly deserve if the case ever goes before a Houston jury in a criminal trial. But my bet is that they'll most likely cop a plea.

That reminds me:
Or was your statement er.... mistaken?
Noted: you continue to be the only person who opposes any post of mine which opposes something you oppose. It's odd, really.
You must have missed this first time..... Just as a matter of interest - and I don't know if there's an answer - which GOP Senators and Congresspersons "continue" to repeat the lies since this news story was put out this morning? Maybe they have but I'd like to know who and when and where - haven't found it yetrubato wrote:I'm hoping the lying assholes wind up in jail but what of the GOP Senators and Congresspersons who continue to repeat the lies?

To be honest I can’t remember who made the hateful and snide comments about my Texas neighbors. I remember it was one of our more liberals posters. And one of the post had something to do with the Texas militia, I think. Hypocrites, if liberals had done this there would have would have been no problem.
The Center for Medical Progress uses the same undercover techniques that investigative journalists have used for decades in exercising our First Amendment rights to freedom of speech and of the press, and follows all applicable laws. We respect the processes of the Harris County District Attorney, and note that buying fetal tissue requires a seller as well. Planned Parenthood still cannot deny the admissions from their leadership about fetal organ sales captured on video for all the world to see.

Proving once again you cannot read and comprehend.
Those so-called "admissions" were created out of thin air by the "Center for Medical Progress" and it's "creative editing," which is part of the basis for the indictment. Get this through your skull: They. Do. Not. Exist.

Re: Planned Parenthood vid indictments
I've said it before: as someone working in the courier service industry, the costs attributed by PP to storage and transport of human tissue seem quite reasonable--low, even--and it's perfectly legal and entirely appropriate that the recipient (rather than the donor or the middleman) should be the one who pays these fees. (I don't know for sure about the storage, but the transportation undoubtedly would have been done by some specialty courier service, a commercial entity that no one would expect to provide free services.)Guinevere wrote:Those so-called "admissions" were created out of thin air by the "Center for Medical Progress" and it's "creative editing," which is part of the basis for the indictment. The Planned Parenthood personnel explained this quite clearly (though they shouldn't have had to...any legitimate entity seeking to obtain fetal tissue for any legitimate purpose should have known this already); the "Center for Medical Progress" edited it out of the video.
ETA: "its"--not "it's", Guin!

Hear this Guin. I am not anti abortion. I don’t like it, but there are lots of things in life I don’t like, but I tolerate because at times they are necessary, like executions for capital crimes. My interest in this is hypocrisy. I know that hypocrisy does happen in a certain circle of the democrat party. Do you remember the special prosecutor law? It was ok when it was being used against Republicans, but when Ken Starr used the same tactics against Bill Clinton that was too much.Guinevere wrote:Proving once again you cannot read and comprehend.

And as far the video being created out of thin air, video experts can determine if that is the case or not; either way is ok with me. But I would bet you in any large organization there abuses that happen and it would not surprise me if that is the case here.

Re: Planned Parenthood vid indictments
Let's say some Liberal group faked these videos, accusing PP of selling baby bits. Is it your contention that liberally persuaded people on this board would have supported that?if liberals had done this there would have would have been no problem
Of course not. Therefore, your sentence quoted above is utter bullshit
So you don't mind if political candidates have been fooled into falsehoods by people who make fake videos? You don't mind if the people who made those videos are liars? You don't mind if PP personnel are liars? Truth doesn't matter, I guess.either way is ok with me
Abuses happen in large organizations - shock news that. Do abuses take place in small organizations? Medium-size ones? The logic seems to be: Corporation A executives did illegal stock manipulations. PP has executives. Therefore, PP is probably doing illegal things, you betcha. But I would bet you in any large organization there abuses that happen and it would not surprise me if that is the case here
Or how about this: Humans often commit abuses. PP employs humans. Therefore, PP probably commits abuses.

Horseshit. They were not "fooled into falsehoods" they lied long after the video had been shown to be false. Months after, they were stirring up hatred by pretending the video were true. They continued lying about it for months.
They never cared what the truth was.

How do you know the video is a lie?MajGenl.Meade wrote:So you don't mind if political candidates have been fooled into falsehoods by people who make fake videos? You don't mind if the people who made those videos are liars? You don't mind if PP personnel are liars? Truth doesn't matter, I guess.
Are the subjects shown on the video employees of PP or not? Did they offer to sell body parts or not? If the video is a fake, how did they fake it? Did they use actors or are the people shown computer generated?

Re: Planned Parenthood vid indictments
well, as someone who is waaay too informed on current events (one of the good, or bad, effects of being half assed crippled and home watching a baby most days), I must say that the videos are largely accurate and were not falsely edited. the whole unedited videos are available online, mostly (not that any of you watched them before running your yaps..., meade).
the problem is that they created false documents in order to get the videos, which is illegal.
this ain t over.....
