Trump's Speechwriter?

Former Republican speechwriter Barton Swaim was recently asked to write a totally pandering stump speech for an imaginary GOP presidential candidate — one who espouses only positions that a majority of Republicans agree with.  Here’s a link to that speech, including notes to explain his phrasing, behind-the-scenes pro tips on appealing to Republican voters, and the data he used to decide which positions to take.
(Or you could just listen to Trump's next bloviation, but you won't get the benefit of the writers' notes and reasoning)

Democratic speechwriter Jeff Nussbaum was given the same task, only from the Democratic point of view.  So that no one will accuse me of being unfair, I present a link to the speech that he came up with, along with his notes, tips, and so forth.
