For political ideology differences alone I feel I should be able to find something said here that offends my liberal sensibilities. I know I can be slow on the uptake occasionally but after playing this vid three times I truly feel Shaprio has his finger on the pulse of a very vexing problem.

As you can plainly see even the participants on this panel appear to be lost for words. And once found they seem flustered and the explanations sound totally off-point, almost as if to misdirect the audience away from their inability to provide a cogent rejoinder.

What can you find that I cannot? No pedanticism, thank you. And I appreciate your support.

I think it's a pity we didn't get more of the other panelists fumbling their responses to the accurate statements of that young man.

Yes, it's cultural. That's not to say that because people are black they MUST behave in a certain way. The thug culture has been created over the past 20-30 years, subsuming a different culture - it has infected white and latino youth as well. People used to be ashamed of some of the things they did - the default was shame. Now the default is pride and defiance.

There was pride in doing a good job. Now the pride is not having one or in slacking. That's OK - everyone does it. The malaise in this country is not really political but moral. The anger that fuels Trump and Bernie is that difficult to define conviction that something is wrong - that what we've been doing isn't the way to go. Trump's solution is to turn the clock back. Bernie's is to do even more of what's already been done.

It's not just black culture - it's culture. When banks pay millions upon millions in bonuses to thieves; when they are allowed to spray mortgages around without a care in the world as to ability to repay; when white collar criminals don't go to jail but get elected.... all lives matter and we are being sold a bill of goods.

Back to the BLM. They are among the leaders of the race industry - thank God for racism or we'd have nothing to do. As the man said, black youth is shot down in horrific numbers not by white cops but by other black youth. And the culture is expressed by mainstreaming of crap like Beyonce's supertoiletbowl performance on behalf of corporate interests who took the culture hostage a long time ago

Well Ray, I was a bit put off by the editing, wondering if the two others portrayed in the video said anything interesting beyond "I come from planet earth."

Can't we all just get along?

Well no, because we are humans together on planet earth and we all prefer to find somebody who is US and other somebodies who is NOT US and pick on them.
