The Department of Homeland Security removed the names of nearly 1,000 individuals suspected of terrorism ties from the U.S. terrorist watch list, according to newly released documents obtained by an advocacy group under a Freedom of Information Act request.

Gee, how about this for an explanation - those 1000 people were determined to have no terrorist ties and did not belong on the list, so their names were taken off.

But of course the automatic reaction of a Trump supporter would be that the DHS knowingly put the country at risk by removing the names of known terrorist associates from the list.

Tinfoil must be getting to be in really short supply, what with the quantity that has been diverted into making hats.
