The Final Debate...

Frankly, unless Hillary faints or has a seizure on stage, I can't think of any thing that could happen tonight that would change the trajectory of this race...

Trump apparently is tripling down on weird theatrics:
Obama’s half-brother will be at Vegas debate cheering for Trump

President Obama’s Kenya-born half-brother Malik will be in the audience in Las Vegas on Wednesday night when Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton square off in their third and final debate.

Malik — an American citizen who lives in Washington, DC, when he’s not in Kenya — says he will be a guest of Trump, the Republican nominee he supports for president.

“I’m excited to be at the debate. Trump can make America great again,” Malik told The Post.

“I look very much forward to meeting and being with Malik,” Trump said. “He gets it far better than his brother.”

And whatever happens, it will be less like a "debate" and more like a "reality TV" episode. I'm seriously thinking of skipping it entirely.

As an alternative, you can come to a meeting with me. I'll find an "open" meeting we can go to.

Hillary should just bring a rope with a hangman's noose and hand it to Trump during the introduction.

Not necessary; he always brings his own...

I expect it will be depressingly predictable: Trump will spend most of his time making absurd accusations and spewing incoherent word-salad phrases instead of articulating any program, policy or vision. Hillary will roll her eyes some, but otherwise appear calm, steady and presidential. No one's mind will be changed by any of it.

I honestly don't know how there could be any "undecided" voters at this point in the campaign, unless they just awoke from a 17-month coma this afternoon.

I've made reference to this before but I can envision Trump pulling an "R. Budd Dwyer" tonight. Watch out if he walks onto the stage grasping a fat, manila envelope.

If he did, he'd probably turn the gun on Hillary or the evil press core asking the questions; a guy that narcissistic would never kill himself.

Debate yoga -- the only way I'll make it through tonight!

No matter whether you lean blue or red, the first and second presidential debates were stomach-churning experiences. The decline of civil discourse, the low popularity ratings of both candidates and the general feeling of gloom for U.S. democracy settled over living rooms, bars and Facebook comment threads.

Some viewers deal with debates using drinking games. We suggest a healthier alternative for Wednesday’s third and final debate: yoga.

These poses, designed to keep you facing the TV, will help you cope with every interruption, accusation and revelation. Take it slowly, and don’t forget to breathe.

Cleveland/Toronto play Game 5 starting at 5:00 4:00 ET, and first pitch of Game 4 between Chicago and LA is at 9:00 8:00.  Either one is going to be better than the Donald vs. the Dragon Lady.

P.S. — Cleveland won, and waits to see if they face the Cubbies or the Dodgers

Two things I wish they would do at tonight's debate:
  • 1)  Have the mics on a cut-off switch.  When a candidate's allotted time to speak is up, the mic is dead.  No exceptions.
    2)  Put Trump in leg irons and shackle him to his podium so he can't wander all over the stage behind Hillary just to keep his ugly mug on camera.  Give him a chair so he can sit down if he wants to, but otherwise he stays put.
But I'm not holding my breath waiting for either of these things to happen.

Stolen from some guy I don't know on Facebook:
  • Nobody asked, but here is my prediction for tonight's Presidential debate:

Trump will lose all his property in Atlantic City and Clinton will play her Get Out of Jail Free card. Then it will end like most Monopoly games:

Trump: I sat in my apartment down the street, a very lovely Trump building...

Clinton: Made with Chinese steel.

Damn it! Drumpf chose life.

Well, he gained no ground tonight, but Hillary didn't do much better. Oddly, I saw there were some voters interviewed who were still undecided. C'mon, if it was in my power I'd suspend their voting rights for the upcoming election. What the hell... it's a rigged system so what's the sense? May the best woman win.

God bless America.

Hillary Clinton wins third presidential debate, according to CNN / ORC poll

(CNN)Hillary Clinton won the final presidential debate, topping Donald Trump by a 13-point margin according to a CNN/ORC poll of debate watchers, giving Clinton a clean sweep across all three of this year's presidential debates.
But Wednesday's debate watchers were closely divided on which candidate they trusted more on the issues most important to them.

Overall, 52% who watched tonight's matchup thought Clinton did the best job, to the 39% that thought Trump did. That's a tighter margin than in the first two debates. After the first debate, 62% of those who watched said Clinton won, 27% Trump, followed by a 57% Clinton to 34% Trump margin for the town hall debate held October 9.
More breakdown on the poll results:

http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/19/politics/ ... index.html

I thought Trump started off okay, at first he seemed a lot calmer than he has been...

But once again, he showed that his ability to stay on script lasts about 20 minutes when he's in environment where he's being challenged.

He scored a few points, missed a couple of major opportunities, and like in the first debate took just about all the bait he was fed...

Once again he showed himself to be completely temperamentally unfit to be President, particularly in his steadfast refusal to say he would accept the election results. (Which is going to be the dominating news focus from the debate.)

For any undecided voter who deeply dislikes Hillary Clinton, and really wanted to vote for a "change" candidate, but who was still waiting to see him demonstrate even a minimal level of fitness for the Presidency, he gave them nothing. And this was his last major opportunity to be able to do so.

And if history is any guide, in short order he will compound the damage he did to himself with an erratic and thrashing about post-debate performance...

And I doubt we've seen the end of sexual assault accusers coming forward...
