If Congress was your co-worker

Post by Econoline »

When I started this thread it was not my intention to start yet another round of mindless rubato-bashing.

It was a really funny video. Go find it on your own, everybody.

If Congress Was Your Co-Worker

Pertinent nonsense with high production values. Chris Pine is a funny dude -- great humor with a timely message.

Beam him up, Scotty.

It is not "congress" that is the problem. It is the Republican Congress. No Democratic controlled congress has ever behaved anything like this.

Sometimes you can't mince words with a false equivalence.

The GOP wants to fuck you more than they want a better country.

Say what you want about rubato and his supposed Aspergers, Gob, but remember too that even a broken clock is correct twice a day.
This seems to be one of those times, as these three sentences
It is not "congress" that is the problem.  It is the Republican Congress.  No Democratic controlled congress has ever behaved anything like this.
proves that rube has hit it spot-on.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

I don't blame UK voters overall for Brexit only the ignorant, rural, older, poorer, and more racist voters. People like you.

Educated, more affluent, more urban, people who actually interact with immigrants, and younger people voted overwhelmingly against it.

Which in the whole is a positive message. More education is a good thing.

And if aspergers makes people value education over ignorance like yours, then aspergers is a good thing. Maybe if you were better educated and more intelligent you would have succeeded in the UK.

Brilliant, now he tries to drag the Brexit debate, (yet another area where his lack of comprehension is unmatched,) into this humorous thread, as a way of deflecting from his inability to socially interact.

Aspergers, it's for life double-cock.

You miss my point Bill. Most people would have taken the OP for what it offered. Aspergeers boy does not have the ability to do that as;
a) He is totally monomaniacal / OCD as are most Aspergers sufferers.
b) Humour is a lost cause in his case, (apart from the endless unintentional humour he supplies.)
c) He's a total wankstain. ;-)

"He is totally monomaniacal / OCD as are most Aspergers sufferers."

Huh? Must be different on the other side of the globe. Over here, it is the neuro-typicals that suffer while the 'Aspergers" happily deal with reality.

Not, really.

My niece suffers from Autism Spectrum Disorder (no more known as Aspergers according to the DSM V) and I have found her much the way Gob speaks of rubato.

Your mileage may vary.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

I think you can blame that on mindless rubato...

Mindless rubato pretty much brings it on himself...

rubato: 2 posts (1 of which was a response to Gob's insults)
Gob: 3 insulting posts
Jim: 2 insulting posts
dales: 1 insulting post

6/12 posts in response to the OP were rubato-bashing...because rubato's evil mind-controlling powers made you do it?

(For someone who's "mindless" he sure seems to exert a lot of power over other people's minds...)

Well Dales, that may be the way you 'find' her. I was posting about the way many high functioners on the autism spectrum as adults live their own life with as much joy and pleasure as neuro-typicals, and in many instances more than the average NT--earning PhD's, making a career advising MacDonalds or building special instruments for world-class bands, and lots of other successes, by their definition. Not at all a life of suffering. Many of the characteristics of Aspies are very irritating to NT's; that does not mean the Aspie is 'suffering'. Indeed they may just be puzzled by the superficiality and lack of nuance in so many social circumstances for NTs.

People in all classes come in a range of qualities. Jerks, stupidity, bullies can be found in any grouping. And so all groups also contain those who are nice individuals to hang out with--even in groups of NTs.
