Thirty people were arrested and three police officers injured in a Wednesday night rally through Oakland against President-elect Donald Trump that turned unruly and destructive, police said Thursday.

Protesters were arrested on suspicion of vandalism, assault on an officer, failure to disperse, unlawful assembly, and possession of a firearm, officials said. They did not specify what kinds of injuries the officers sustained.

Police deployed several rounds of tear gas “to deter a violent portion of the crowd from assaulting officers with rocks, bottles, fireworks, M-80s, and Molotov cocktails,” they said in a statement.

I think that needs to change to the vast majority of residents who voted, voted for HRC.
I would guess that less than 50% of residents actually voted.

Snailgate is correct. Oakland is just a riot waiting to happen. I'm sure there are quite a lot of people over there who have (what they believe is) nothing better to do.
