Conway said that Nielsen released figures showing that 31 million people watched the inauguration across all platforms.
So what? Over 105 million people watched the final episode of "M*A*S*H", and that was shown on a single network in the days before streaming, Hulu, Netflix, and all the other hubbub. And even more people (110 million plus) watched the last Super Bowl between the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers.
Good thing the inauguration was on a Friday. Nobody would have watching if Trump had been going head-to-head with the NFL playoffs.
And cheers to Chuck Todd for holding her feet to the fire about not answering the question instead of tap-dancing around it.

At best, middle of the pack. Clinton, Bush and Nixon all did better than him if you take the population growth since then into account.

There's been so much focus on Conway's "alternative facts" comment that this shocking bit of news hasn't gotten much notice:

A senior aide to President Trump said Sunday that he has no plans to release his tax returns, a marked shift from Trump’s pledge during the campaign to make them public once an audit was completed.
“The White House response is that he’s not going to release his tax returns,” said Kellyanne Conway, counselor to the president, during an appearance on ABC’S “This Week with George Stephanopoulos.” “We litigated this all through the election.”
“People didn’t care,” Conway added. “They voted for him, and let me make this very clear: Most Americans are — are very focused on what their tax returns will look like while President Trump is in office, not what his look like.”
Presidents are not required to release their tax returns, but presidents dating back to Richard Nixon have routinely done so voluntarily.
A Washington Post-ABC poll last week showed that Trump’s continued refusal to release his tax returns continues to be an unpopular decision, with 74 percent of Americans saying he should make the documents public, including 53 percent of Republicans.[I guess the claim that "people don't care" about Trump releasing his tax returns is another one of those alternative facts...]
Conway was questioned about a petition page on the White House website that allows citizens to ask government officials to take up issues of importance to them. Under former president Barack Obama, the White House would note any actions related to petitions that garnered more than 100,000 signatures online.

as much as rube is teased about being a scientist, he does seem to be a data oriented person.
he may hate me as a republican ( yuck! I am not! ), but I don t recall him throwing the Nazi theme out there....
dictators don t start at 70.
sure a king might inherit a tyranny in his old age, but napoleon? stalin, hitler, mao, Chavez, kadahfi , saddam Hussein.... they all started young... relatively
there may be an aberration that I have missed, but the data just isn t there for trump to be hitler re-dux ......
