Odds on favorite, I would bet Michelle Obama.
Or, depending on how she does as ambassador to the UN and whatever other job she might move into, Nikki Haley.
But I am no politico expert by any means.

Ivanka? That's doubtful. She has no better chance than Chelsea Clinton at this point.
I feel the first woman president will most likely be a Democrat so I chose Kirsten Gillibrand of New York as having the best chance. With a little bit of grooming she'll be ready to go. A strong second choice would be Repug Lisa Murkowski of Alaska.

Nikki Haley...I was impressed with her as a governor, and I've been very impressed with her performance as UN Ambassador...
She gets my vote...

I believe we won't have a female president for many years but when we do, she shouldn't get paid as much as a man...

tulsi-2024.......
it will be tulsi against the field this cycle......
one helluva a battle is coming.
she is your best chance to win, but one solid third party candidate, on either side, will sink her general election chances....
I could get behind her in 2024.......

Oh geesus, Tulsi friggin' Gabbard....
When you mentioned her the first time wes, my suspicion was that the one and only thing that you probably knew about her was that she's hot, and that's why she caught your attention...
That remains my suspicion...
Despite her military service, Gabbard has positions on defense and security that are virtually indistinguishable from those of the radical neo-isolationist Rand Paul...
If Vlad can't get his boy Donny re-elected I'm sure he'd be good with Tulsi...
Of all the the Democratic candidates who have announced or are likely to announce, she's dead last on
my list; I could not
possibly vote for her, even against Trump...(There's even a better chance I could vote for Kamala Harris then that I could vote for Gabbard)
If the Democrats want to run up the vote total for Howard Schultz, I can't think of a better way to do it than nominating Gabbard...

Clinton not ruling out running in 2020: report
By Michael Burke - 01/27/19 12:11 PM EST
Hillary Clinton, the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee, reportedly has yet to rule out running for the Oval Office again in 2020.
CNN White House correspondent Jeff Zeleny said Sunday on CNN's "Inside Politics" that Clinton told people "as recently as this week" that she isn't "closing the doors to the idea of running in 2020."
"I’m told by three people that as recently as this week, she was telling people that look, given all this news from the indictments, particularly the Roger Stone indictment, she talked to several people, saying 'look, I'm not closing the doors to this,' " Zeleny said.
"It does not mean that there's a campaign-in-waiting, or a plan in the works," he continued.
The former secretary of State has previously not ruled out another presidential bid, saying last October that she would "like to be president."
Zeleny added that Clinton believes running "could be a possibility,” given that she won the popular vote over President Trump in 2016 and that several former Trump associates have been indicted in special counsel Robert Mueller's probe into Russian interference in that election.
Most recently, Trump's longtime adviser, Roger Stone, was indicted Friday on seven counts as part of that investigation.
"Most losing presidential candidates never totally close the doors to running for president, something that’s really hard to do. So I put this in the category," Zeleny said.
"But I think we have to at least leave our mind open to the possibility that she is still talking about it," he added. "She wants to take on Trump. Could she win a Democratic primary to do it? I don't know the answer to that."

Who we be writing Zeleny's commentary - it's almost Trumpian in coherency

I looked up Tulsi Gabbard because I'd not heard anything about her (and OK, the fact that LJ thinks she's hot was an added point of interest) - she was born in American Samoa.
Serious question - would that be an issue?

I doubt that would be any more of an issue than John McCain being born in The Panama Canal Zone, which at the time (like American Samoa) was a US territory...

She was born a U.S. citizen the same as anyone born in DC, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands is a natural born citizen, the only ones who believe otherwise are morons like the village idiot who claimed that Washington DC is not part of the U.S.
And Jim is right, only had to hear her once to place her squarely in looney tunes territory.

If I recall, a similar situation was settled in 1964 (when Goldwater was the republican candidate--he was born in the territory of Arizona), but it would be interesting to watch the discussion. So far as I know, the term "Natural Born Citizen" has never been definitively defined by the courts. Indeed, if I recall correctly, George Romney Mitt's dad) was born in Mexico (to American citizen parents), but tried to get the republican nomination in 1968 claiming he was a natural born American citizen--the issue was never settled because he eventually withdrew from the race (not because of this issue).

The next question, of course, will then be whether or not a C-section
(or inducing labor) is considered "naturally-born".
Logic says it is, of course, but since when have Republicans been strong on logic?

coherence. ' Coherency' is an ugly malformation as repellent as "orientated" is when "oriented" should be used.

It's in my OED rube - several citations from British and American authors dating back to 1603. "The quality of being coherent or of hanging together in any respect."
