For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

The bias towards events which are local or which effect people like ourselves is universal. It is so much a part of everyone's consciousness that I can't find in it a criticism of others but only against myself.
A related point which perhaps you will see and perhaps not: nearly every native American nation had a name for themselves which meant "The People", occasionally with a modifier like "the peaceful people or the snake people." And a name for everyone else which was a derogator of some sort. Often meaning "not humans".
