Nancy Pelosi shouted down by so-called "dreamers" in Oakland.
Disgusting!

I'm guessing this protest got national attention, and probably even went viral.
In all the wrong ways they got what they wanted. I wonder how it will effect their DACA status?

It looked all carefully planned and rehearsed. Nancy stepped aside and let them to their chant. Even looked to me as if she joined at one point.
But the group (clearly to me) had no plan beyond making themselves heard; no big finish, no demand for an immediate response from Nancy or anybody else.
DACA? Dreamers ? Only a pipe dream. Deferral is not amnesty or a route to a green card. It is and was only delay. The whole this is just theater of smoke and mirrors, no sign of any fix or solution in the near (six months) or far (10 years) future or anywhere in between.

This is something the dems will have to come to deal with if they expect to win a lot of seats next year. One thing Hillary and her advisors either ignored or didn't recognize is the degree of anger and frustration on the left; hell, Hillary still justifies her positions with regard to Bernie's (in her book) without honestly acknowledging that those who stayed home or voted for Stein is so because of this anger/frustration. Like these protests, there are no easy answers, but the dems do have to widen their agenda to court these individuals, lest they fracture the vote again (and before anyone says these protestors are not citizens and do not vote, which is likely right, they have grown up here and feel the same frustrations of citizens who feel they are being ignored). The people who don't want the "adult in the room" who sets an limited, but likely attainable, agenda, but someone who comes out in favor of real change and progress in addressing pressing problems. ignoring that will only result in more of the same.

More passion than thought went into it. My guess is that they are inexperienced and didn't think through what they were trying to do.
